  1. Yes Yamaha fell asleep. Had 2 Yamacats going into season, now just Sidewinder for trails a 2021 Polaris SKS for playing in deep snow. Gave up holding my breath waiting for a pure Yamaha.
  2. I have a Sidewinder with cable scratchers on A arms, and I don't worry about road or rail crossings or backing up. On my Polaris, spring wire scratchers on rail, have crossed roads and rails with them down, just can't back up with them down.
  3. Still a real small sign, easiest to see when heading west. About 1-2ft high right at snowmobile track going south.
  4. We just spent 4 days sledding out of Auld Reekie. The run from Elk Lake to Rockies is a BIG day. The Canyon is a nice side trip on your to run Auld Reekie or Tree Bears in Shinning Tree for lunch. Fuel available at Auld Reekie and Shinning Tree. C trail from Shinning Tree towards Mattagami or Tatachikapita not doable. Sounds like L143 not going to open this year as Timmins does not want to groom down to meet the Gowganda groomer.
  5. That is us sitting at the back table. Left this morning for home.
  6. We are staying at Auld Reekie this week and just did a loop down to Rockies for lunch and back. Trails were awesome.
  7. Yes, I am at 2800km local riding and going back out today. Had our first lunch of the season at Harleys in Mildmay yesterday. Nice change from hot dogs on the trail.
  8. LOL, yes always peer pressure when leading. Most times we just say generally where we are going. If you miss a corner just don't tell them. Majority of times they are too busy following and sledding they don't even realized they went down the same trail.
  9. Another 1" of fresh snow in Exeter this morning. We ran Friday the local trails from Exeter to B111 up to Mount Forest for fuel, then the B202 to B109. Jumped again on B111 by Listowell to B108 by Atwood, and took the B108 to Hay Swamp, and the home to Exeter. On B109 just north of intersection 621 we met a delivery van stuck on the trail, just following his GPS. Had our socially distanced lunch on our sleds at a corner in the bush.
  10. They said, they said, they said...who is they. Besides too many in Exeter are just talk...LOL. Like, who would live in Exeter.
  11. Still planning to be up there in 1 1/2 weeks for week long stay. Looking forward to the expanded dinning room.

    PARKING

Do not park at Rona/Moffatt and Powell in Exeter. They have restricted entrance and are towing rigs. Too many parked without permission and left rigs for multiple nights that restricted snow clearing. So now they are Not snowmobile friendly. Please when parking in commercial lots, ask for permission.
  13. Definitely the Titan if you want open face. They are also nice and light. You can ride in all temperatures, this is my 4th year using it including some -35C Temps. Make sure you use the Klim Arctic balaclava in the cold Temps. My next helmet will be the Mission.
  14. How well do the Kimpex version fit with handguards?
  15. Snowing nicely in Exeter.
  16. So we bought this in 2017 for just over $10,000 with upgraded frame, thicker o/s aluminum skin, lined inside walls, extra heavy rear door for equipment loading, equipment grade tie downs in floor, front left drive out door, right side man door. Spare tire mount inside on wall, chrome wheels. Competitive quote for American trailer which didn't equal this trailer was almost $12,000.
  17. Come on guys do some research Buy Canadian! This were we bought our 26ft enclosed aluminum trailer. http://www.bremartrailers.com/ You do have to preorder the enclosed trailers close by Crediton, on. Another one is https://becknertrailers.com/ located outside Hensall, on. Both these two build their own trailers and are Canadian.
  18. Nothing in South Huron.
  19. Yep, would have been a lot cheaper to buy a new sled closer to home but there none around here any more.
  20. I was down to 17.1 and then slowly climbed to 17.4, figured maybe stronger head wind as terrain was flatter and tried to keep speed reasonable .
  21. Picked up new Polaris 850 SKS 146 IN Hearst this week. Had to make a delivery first in Cochrane which was equal to 2 sleds and then just my new sled back home. Was driving an F250 6.7L diesel with 26ft trailer. Had to drive for a 300km in 4x4 due to road conditions. As in picture averaged 17.4L/100 over 2200km from near London to Hearst and back and included idle time while eating meals since eating in wasn't allowed. Power to go, to pass any vehicle or accelerate up any hill.
  22. I was heading north also to pick new sled in Hearst on Monday but riding buddies have already backed out. Now full lockdown still in effect in north. This winter is starting to s***.
  23. Do you have the fiberglass or carbon one?
  24. I have worn glasses once or twice with the Titan. It is ok, you have to put helmet on first, then glasses and then goggles. You have to seat goggles tight to maintain seal. I mainly wear my contacts.
  25. I have had the Titan the last 3 years and really like it, but looking to get the Mission next.
