  1. Kris, I think that spot is where C crosses Hwy. 655 north of all the driveway crossings, as you head north out of Timmins toward Cochrane. So the transport appears to have been headed south toward Timmins when he pulled off to "park" there. WTF, indeed.
  2. I think you're right about this...makes you wonder what rock they've been living under. HST has been applicable to ANY ownership transfers (including private sales) for years.
  3. Been there several times over the years... it's a great spot, wonderful food, comfortable accommodations, hot tub, gas and rental sleds on site, convenient location right on trail, easy ride to Devils Mountain and lots of other nice northern Laurentian trails.
  4. The L111 was 10 kms of bliss... beautiful winding bush trail with about 6" of fresh powder on a smooth base. Ours were the only tracks on it, except for a trapper's sled for the last few kms. L135 (Paul Guertin Memorial Trail) was more bliss...we put the first tracks on it since it had been groomed last night.
  5. Not likely...the Lynx Rave LE in the showroom is $21K, and the Lynx Boondocker sitting outside is even more $$...and they are both already sold(!!)
  6. Yesterday was a blustery, surprisingly cold day, considering that it was only -2 when we left Kap...but very windy, and nasty flat light making the odd bump (thankfully, there weren't many) very difficult to see. The loops north of Hearst were immaculately groomed, as always...only saw 3 or 4 sleds our entire time up there. Here's another pic at the trappers' cabin on L161, north of Mattice. Some of you might just recognize the couple on the left, standing with revrnd.
  7. Revrnd and I will be riding in the area for several days, starting next Saturday...staging from Kap for 5 days, but spending Saturday night at the Companion in Hearst. Keep an eye out for a couple of almost identical Blizzards, and if you see us, stop and say hi.
  8. X 100, tricky. The 900 NA in the 129 Blizzard is a near perfect trail sled, especially in the tight-and-twisties. Well-equipped, great handling, nice ride, and lots of corner-to-corner torque.
  9. That's where Eco mode becomes very useful...ditto for loading to and unloading from a trailer. Otherwise, I'm always in Sport mode.
  10. Nope, sorry revrnd... didn't get that far north.
  11. Ditto for 2 of us, riding out of Pt. Sydney yesterday...unreal how much new snow in that area. We did a nice 175 km round trip in N/E Muskoka...had our trailside lunch at Oxtongue Rapids, and even took a pic of same sign you did, Muskoka Bill...
  12. Thanks, Steve...I was wondering why it was blocked with caution tape...we went by it on the east side of the highway late afternoon yesterday.
  13. I've had the SnoStuff "Big Wheel Shop Dolly" for 10+ years, originally bought from Royal. https://www.royaldistributing.com/maxx-big-wheel-shop-dolly.html Not cheap, but strong, and has stood up very well. Really like the big wheels, which work very well on concrete and pavement, as well as packed gravel and hard-pack snow. Adapts easily to different types of sleds.
  14. They apparently lost NEO to a close competitor, Bluewater Trailer Sales, which is also located in Strathroy, and where I bought my NEO this fall. Great dealer...fair price, delivered on time, and staff were a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole order/sale/delivery process.
  15. Thanks, TD...but what happened to the Ice Hut?
  16. Thanks for the congrats, Blake... the colour is pewter (soft gray). And no, I didn't get the door on the street side (this trailer was already scheduled for production when I confirmed my order...too late to change anyway), but I don't really care, since I rarely gas up the sled on the trailer -- almost always try to fill it while on the trail.
  17. Hey, Soup -- I just picked up a new NEO 6 X 12 aluminum cargo with ramp door, to replace my sold Triton TC-167 (only need to haul 1 sled now). I was originally considering another Triton (cargo-style) or a Nitro (ditto), but their supply chains are so mucked up by COVID that an order wouldn't be ready until mid-winter, whereas NEO was able to deliver on time, and I picked it up last Friday from the dealer, Bluewater Trailers in Strathroy. So far, the NEO looks pretty good, and much less than a Triton. Bluewater was a pleasure to deal with...check out their website, as they have lots of selection, and carry a few different brands. The only downside was how far I had to travel to pick it up.

  20. Unless their "rules" have changed, that's not true...we have had our "toys" (formerly 2 sleds, now 1, formerly 2 quads, now 1) with The Personal for about 7 years, and are not members of any "group" or association.
  21. signfan, in response to your question above in bold, I've had a TC-167 for 8 years, and use both front and rear Superclamps on two sleds with no difficulty. The trick is to clamp down the front end of the front sled first, then move the back end of that sled over tight to the right wall, and set up your rear clamp on that front sled in a spot where it won't be in the way of the right ski of the rear sled. You can then load the rear sled and do the same thing with it...clamp the skis down first, then lift the back end over to the right, and clamp the skid down on the left side.
