If you think that's bad I paid 1200 for pre season service last fall. Only part that was replaced was a battery and relay, got one spare too. Pre season service was 700 on four stroke, battery was extra, plus extra labour on that and some testing for reverse and replaced relay. Did oil change, change chain case oil and did few minor adjustments. I bet it's same dealer 🤪
Just consider it part of supporting Canadian manufacturing 🤣. Seems a little steep to me, but if the price of the sled is cheap enough, just take your lumps and move on, I guess.
There is definitely a cost penalty to buying a very popular model/engine size.
