We got about 6" today but this morning it was looking like another 12" day. Plowing in Barrie has been slow, doing it mostly at night. Don't blame them though, too many idiots running around the the roads during the day.
Springwater got it good the other day.
Looks like just north of here it's still coming down.
I know @AC+YA has done it several times. They carry extra fuel, maybe he will see this and chime in. Depending on conditions, tune, and any issues at all, It could be done but, to be safe, you should really carry several gallons of extra. No need to become a statistic. Ski
My son is on the roads dept up there. Been a hell of a week!
Said some areas received 45cms of snow today yet 20 mins away in Stayner they received nothing.
D2 is up about 10% from last year.
However 67726 is still quite a bit shy from the 80Kish from last year.
Hopefully the multi day passes make up for it.👍

OFF THE SCANNER: Emergency crews are responding to the Haliburton Forest and will be entering at the main office on Redkenn Rd in Dysart for a reported snowmobile accident.
It was reported the snowmobile driver struck an unknown object, it sounds like he was ejected off the snowmobile, injuries are unknown at this time but Ornge has been tiered and can be called off if not needed.
The passenger of the snowmobile is not reporting any injuries at this time.
Its unknown how far into the forest the accident occured, firefighters and staff at Haliburton Forest may need to bring the paramedics in on machines to reach the patient.
I will update the post if there’s any important information to post.
UPDATE: After over an hour first responders have arrived on scene by snowmobile and have made patient contact. Ornge has departed toronto and will be landing at a helipad near Wolf Lake.
