Still alot of trails around here not on the map yet. North of Wiarton to Ferndale, east of Wiarton scenic trail, Hepworth to Wiarton, north of Oliphant, westside access to Owen Sound.  No rush for me though. I havent had time to look for a new sled or even uncover the old sled. My damn batteries are still in the boat and I just got the snowblower up to snuff today. lol

Again, no one is above the clubs/volunteers they agreed by majority vote to allow the volunteer Board Of Governors they vote in to make the decisions needed to keep as much trail open and groomed as possible under the current conditions. Be it an economic or climate driven burden, or in this case both. The burden always lays on the volunteers, they are who make it happen, including the OFSC Board of Governors and Excom.    Close to another foot of snow here now. Spent the day doing the last of preseason maintenance, 2026 permits are on straight with no creases or bubbles, sure sign of an epic season lol

Not failing to recognize anything, those are 2 completely different things.    Not sure why the volunteers were feeling any burden over what was happening though, it had nothing to do with them, and everything to do with how things above them were and are being managed. I can appreciate the burden they must have felt having to communicate the negative messaging though. I didn't agree with it then, and I don't agree with it now. The clubs were made out as the scapegoats. And am I sure there is more burden now, after having decommissioned trails, having to go back out there, try to re-secure MOU's, and re-sign all of those trails........   Anyway, we're beating a dead horse here, but will leave it with this:   We can all agree the announcement and additional funding is a HUGE BLESSING We can all agree that snowmobiling is the BEST recreational off road experience out there - one of a kind We can all agree, we're here talking about this, because WE LOVE IT, AND WE DON'T WANT TO LOSE IT We can all agree that the VOLUNTEERS that do what they do, are the BEST/MOST IMPORTANT PART OF OUR PAST-TIME   We will NEVER all agree on how things are run, could be run, should be run, BUT, should all keep an open mind and be okay with talking about it without taking anything personal.   Ride safe everyone
