    • I heard some news today that our district had extremely good early permit sales. 6+ weeks of snow last year must trump loosing trails this year.
    • And yet they had a 5 million dollar shortfall for the year. How can this happen when there a lot of money (guesstimate 2 million) distributed to districts/clubs "to dispose of"?  Could that money not have been used to reduce the shortfall? Maybe someone with more business accumin than I have can explain it.
    • But are they selling or just sitting?
    • No business has steady income  and steady expenses. Must be a Way to purchase fuel ahead of time, do extra maintaince buy surplus parts etc to get ahead, then just handing out money to clubs at time too. Thanks for insight!  I feel ofsc should have been better prepared for this to happen every 10 years. Disappointing it's come down to this no doubt.
    • Was told by local club president the the OFSC being a 'non profit organization' can't carry a surplus. Few years back when season was short and grooming was non-existing in many areas the OFSC sent all the clubs a cheque at end of year (surplus money) to dispose of. Our little club got 6k to spend, just do the multiplication.....
