Who knew hitting a rock the size of a basket ball at 80kph would send my sled into a barrel roll and throw me 50 feet in the other direction? As I count my blessings & rub my bruised ribs I contemplate two things: 1) I'm an idiot 2) Since I broke my own rules once, I might do it again. Given #2, a tekvest comes to mind. Down side- very warm, you may want to rethink your outer wear on mild days. Up side- very warm, great if it's stinking cold out. The removable fleece collar is handy. Worth every penny. Had a similar incident to Schmied a few years ago and after buying parts to repair my sled, a Tek Vest was my next purchase. Consider it a layer when choosing how much clothing to wear.
