  1. Crosses PHU boundary. Use that info as you wish. As you know its almost all road and unassumed road, but its been groomed a few times and there is traffic on it. No obstacles other then a few whoops in one spot that require good timing if your moving fast!
  2. One of the smartest decisions they've made. Agree or disagree with the politics, the information has been provided and easy to understand.
  3. I liv just off one of their trails and I ask to volunteer every year with no response. I wish I could do more for the club. Don't tell anyone but I sneak out and clear on my own for them...
  4. Yes, I can totally understand checking paperwork, insurance, trail passes etc, and drunk riding. Guess its tough to distinguish between those infractions and speeding, especially in a private area where speed limits are not provincially posted (I'm assuming). I could totally see OPP handing out dangerous/careless driving for those with excessive speeds, but I doubt in a situation like Stonehaven's daughter (posted above) was throttle jockeying around the forest with excessive speeds. Geez OPP doesn't even pull people over on the railbed for much less then 100km/h.

Rode it a number of times over the last few days. Fenelon to Pinery was getting a bit thin. Pinery was great, some corners getting icy. Kinmount north to Haliburton had better snow but was getting lots of stutters. I'm local to the area, and have enjoyed riding the area for a long time. This year was a first that I was able to take my full family out, my newly licensed 12 yr old and 14 yr old riding on their own. I must say, that despite the large amount of sleds, that I was very impressed with the number of sleds staying right, signaling and keeping their speeds reasonable. I'm no slow rider, but I didn't see any ridiculously fast or painfully slow groups. Most importantly, everyone staying right. Well done.
  6. Not to start an argument to condone or defend either side of this, but what jurisdiction would OPP have on speed limits in the forest?
