  1. Wowsie. How did you manage to put all toys thru buisness. My account aka my mother wouldn’t sleep at night if I cheated by one 1 cent.
  2. Looks like end your road in middle of winter. That trail would be rideable if it was in our area.
  3. No frost anyways. So now we have a chance for Jack to come alive.
  4. You make it look easy. What size is box on your truck?
  5. Wowsie. That is so sad. I sold my sled last year to a older couple. Grand touring le, 2012. Got an email message a few weeks asking where I had sled serviced in past. I answered them back and asked was there a problem with snowmobile and they said no, they just wanted to get it serviced. I was like few, always feel bad if something breaks after I sell it to someone. You may have to ride that a few times this winter too. Feel good in musoka twisty trails.
  6. Power steering is a game changer on Yamaha’s. When my shoulders were hurting a few years ago, I would have considered one, if I could have tried it before I bought it. Vector and venture is lighter then Rx1 with it’s 3 cylinder engine. Good find zoo. Looks clean too.
  7. That’s a great idea and I remember when that happened to you. Did they try to give you a discount and get you to take it? Costco pumps, I can open back door and go in that way. Long hoses are so nice. Most stations only have about 8 feet of hose. Next time I buy a trailer I do same with man door. Sure beats going in circles every time you want to go into trailer.,
  8. How about a shipping container. They are water tight too.
  9. Sounds right and another 300 to Hearst and approx 120 to Kap makes almost 500 km’s. Not doing that. chinesse food place in wawa on lake coming in, has really good food. Worth a back track to eat there after wawa 5.
  10. Dub to kap is ok, if not too cold. Freezing weather forget about it. Wawa to kap would make it close to 500 km’s, no thanks.
  11. I could but that would be stupid. Nothing is marked over that way no more. No way, i would attempt it and put myself or other lives at risk. If you don’t know, don’t go.
  12. That’s where I want to go but can’t go without a guide. Last time I missed organize ride groomer guy was doing from dub by a few days.
  13. You ride Cochrane to wawa in one day. That is over 600 km’s plc. More like 650 ish give or take 25 km’s or so. Two day trip for most but can make from kap to dub in a day which is around 425 km’s. That’s my limit for a day.
  14. You can just have to say thieves said they were armed before you shoot them. Remember dead people can’t defend themselves so your storey wins .
  15. It’s a nice trip. I would stay in dub next time for two nights so had time to explore wawa area too. A run out to ernies would be nice if you have enough people and call ahead. Always wanted to go there, but never had chance. Could ride from dub to kap to shave half a day off trip going back. Then you have time to do canyon run too before heading back to Cochrane or you can skip canyon and be in Cochrane before noon and drive back home
  16. Yeah dub too. Have to plan your trip around accomdations in this area and cheapleau area too. From chapleau to wawa i don’t really care for those trails either.
  17. They will just winch it onto a flat bed truck and it will look like it belongs on thier too.
  18. Fuel isn’t an issue on this route at all, normally. Lots of options. Even fuel at half way isn’t required if you fill up in chapleau, but is nice to top up if open and avoid wawa snd D trail thru town or having to back track on lake to get fuel. This allows to take trail 5 and by pass town, which is much better route. I am sure dub will have a steady supply of fuel, no premium available though. Most stops are along main highway’s, so fuel availability is good.
  19. That’s what I was thinking or they will mix match them and make a Yamaha cat that is not as traceable.
  20. With ride Polaris ride command or brp go, is it possible to use smart phone to display ofsc app, on guage cluster as you ride? I know permission hasn’t been given just wondering if app would still work if rider bought it and has it on his or her phone and plugged into sled? This technology is exciting and I bet ofsc can use it in future to verify if sleds have trail permits while out riding too. Give each sled an unique number and colour green when on ontario permit is purchased. No permit then sled icon is red and you know where to send opp or police to catch free loaders or riders that choose to ride closed trails. I am sure riders wouldn’t trespass if they know they could be traced and fined after words. Great opportunity for ofsc and sled manufacturers and opp to work together and solve some of the issues that plague us.
  21. Great news. D trail will be intact this winter to ride north out of gravenhurst or is there still some land owner issues north of Bracebridge too?
  22. That’s too bad. It was a good year. Even my uncle in Oakville had a few feet of snow in December too, which is rare. Most dealers were sold out of sleds by Xmas that year. It will happen again.
  23. Wasn’t that rare would happen every three or so years. Usually get a ride or two in November in my fields and b102 was usually rideable around Xmas to New Years most years, main trail north.. After that real good winter of 2011 to 2012 I believe everything changed. That year our trails were open 10 weeks too and it was last year 95 percent of Great Lakes frooze over. Mid 80’s had dry spells for winter too. After that been a real crap show in south. See what happens. Good for trailer sales though.
  24. That’s true for most job sites. Our wood came in multiple deliveries too and we stored it all inside, mostly to keep it out of elements. Being in a remote location multiple drops in stages not practica for this job. Time to put up some trail camera’s and catch thieves. Really sad and frustrating for volunteers and clubs when this happens. Sequin is one key trail in area that I enjoy riding. Goes right past my uncles cottage. I texted him about wood and he heard it was stolen but has no idea who either. He lives near Mckeller on parry sound side.
  25. That is standard practice to drop materials at a site before work begins. Everyone does that at least one day, before work begins. Unfortunate this happens. Hopefully park to park has insurance and materials get replaced in time for volunteers to repair bridge.
