  1. What about raising membership fees? That doesn’t help with all members that sign up to get parking pass?
  2. Not sure and I don’t think anyone knows exact answer either. We are currently part of a global warming trend that is changing weather patterns here in ontario and Canada. Niagara use to get lots of snow too and now not even cold enough to make ice wine yet. So not sure what is going on to be honest.
  3. Over use injury known as shin splints and affects exterior muscle going up outside of my leg and across top of my foot. Really painful condition that is hard to heal. Happened at end of September, december now and only partially healed. Might be ok by February, time will tell. Can’t do any long distance driving at moment or my leg stiffens right up like a Charlie horse. Not fun. Bouncing around on a snowmobile might be out of question too. Really hurts just riding on tractor lately. Vibrations From equipment really bother it.
  4. Maybe no washrooms available during drive up either. That’s another issue. I hurt my foot, so doubt it if I will be doing any trips this year.
  5. If south central don’t get snow this winter, then I can see Lots throwing towel in. Already starting to see changes in south that I don’t like. Seems snow line has moved north use to be south of 401. Now line seems to be highway 86 area and north. Hasn’t been much riding below this line in, last four or five winters.
  6. Thanks for update. I know you and your wife and rest of gang work hard to keep this place open. Is Ed still around as well?
  7. Are alcohol sales gone for good or was it just a choice this year to not renew license because of covid and limited access to building? I am surprised the club can’t make a decent profit with current prices they charge, versus what wings cost. I know there is propane costs, electricity, fries, sauces etc. I actually thought club would do ok on wings this season. Maybe some snow will help turn out next time, if trails are open New Year’s Day.
  8. You guys need some help with next one, if that’s an issue can give a hand in evening? . People might be price sensitive as well during these tough times.
  9. No I don’t, have to wait for someone that knows what’s happening, unless it is a glitch in trail guide and will be fixed soon?
  10. I dunno about that one. Lots of trails running roads and no missing links like this one.
  11. I am all Loaded up too. Waiting to hit my secret destination for my first ride. Tractor out and sled in.
  12. I took mine all out and put di electric grease all over ends. Never had any issues with relays or moisture, knock on wood.
  13. Back pack blower. Can blow snow out too. Lattice looks good. Next time I try that in my trailer.
  14. Need caps. Every since I have had caps on wheels no more idler bearing issues. Keeps snirt and water out of bearings. Initially thought it was only looks but they are very functional
  15. Amazon prime is worth it, if you use it on a regular basis. Lots of items are next day shipping for prime members. Movies are a bonus but we have it for faster shipping to us. If you are just ordering occasionally and don’t have un limited high speed internet regular Amazon Is fine
  16. They are good motors. My 583 went 27,000 km’s and I never fogged engine. New etecs are nice because of self fogging feature.
  17. I ran synthetic in all my two strokes and not one engine went down. Maybe I was just lucky but put high miles on most of them, 10,000 plus except 600 etec I sold it at 7000, cause of a death in family. My uncle is still using our 2007 Polaris and it is run on Polaris gold oil. Must have close to 20,000 km’s now.
  18. Xs is more stable then Xp sleds. Even new gen 4 is totally different and has an even lighter feel, I was told. Skidoo has fixed that twitchy handling feeling. I don’t notice that with my 900, just a little more work to turn it, in twisty’s I find. Doesn’t dart if you adjust ts ski’s for conditions. Maybe better get a demo first if you can. Everyone is different and really need to spend some seat time to know. Keep changing models so fast, hard to keep up. Dealer told me most females like 900 especially with the wire by throttle that can be flipped to use your hand too.
  19. A 600 etec would be a good choice probabily in 129” length. They are light to steer. Really miss mine, Over 900 four stroke. Had one of each and etec would, Would be sled of choice to ride later in day. Felt so light coming off 900 especially in twisty trails. I will have another one in stable in near future. Never rode Yamaha with power steering so not sure how it compares to etec. Imagine it would be close though.
  20. I bought it too. Looks good so far and pinpoint feature and know where you are when there is cell service is worth it for 3.99. Most towns have cell service when approaching so be useful to find your way in and out and on lakes be useful to find access trails as you come off and on. Especially on lake musoka which some of it is not staked.
  21. I dunno about that. Those 670’s were more thirsty with those big carbs then triple every were. Triple better on oil too. I ran lots of miles next to a ss670 from 1995 I believe.
  22. Checked it isn’t available yet. Wtf Guess with all water out there we won’t need app for several weeks yet anyway’s.
  23. Welcome to Oc too. Thank-you for your volunteering time too. We as sledders appreciate what you and others that give up valuable time, to make trails possible and best they can be for us riders. I love your area and hope to get out and ride it this winter.
  24. Was bottom end checked by anyone. I recommend checking crank with a dial indicator on pto shaft and make sure it is true before going into snowmobile. If it doesn’t check out, I would quit there. When you have it all apart, I would be tempted to go with a new top end and rings and pistons. More reliable in long run. Not that much more to do it right. Mechanic needs to measure everything and get it all into tolerance for it to be reliable. Good luck.
