  1. What’s wrong with Polaris oil besides price? Those guys get product for free to do a review. I always used manufacturer oil except Yamaha’s no synthetic available then, so I used shell, since it was easy to find at gas stations at the time.
  2. Weren’t you lucky before!

Thanks living. I seen some pictures of B from hcsa page. Looks like it is going to be a few weeks yet before it is ready if weather co-operates. They are out there with tracks on some sort of utv pulling a small drag. How is ice coming along on local lakes?
  4. I always thought technology can save this sport. Must be Some way to start tracking snowmobiles and where they ride and when. Then it wouldn’t take long to correct this trespassing and no respect issue.
  5. Really they sold it. I haven’t been in there for awhile?
  6. Not going to happen. Local club puts up signs saying wheat field and there are a million tracks across it. Baden subdivision is a huge problem on its own. Lots of people own sleds snd think back yard behind there house is a huge play ground. We lost a nearby trail years ago because sledders wouldn’t stay out of gravel pit, where trail past.
  7. Surprised course has no camara’s up. They have had this problem in past.
  8. Are those Weber grill owners kid by any chance?
  9. Sounds promising if club can keep sledders on trail by regular grooming. That will be a high traffic trail no doubt and if it gets rough, riders will wonder off trail again.
  10. Yes that’s me too and my hen at time named Sarah riding my dads Polaris. Standing there watching everyone get sled ready to be pulled out.
  11. Looks good I was out too yesterday
  12. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.narcity.com/amp/expired-ontario-licence-plate-stickers-were-ticketed-by-police-but-ford-says-its-okay
  13. You want to fight cop who gives you a ticket. A reason to stop you as well. Lots of tickets handed out in south over last few months. A real grey area if police force wants to apply law and give you ticket anyways. Bringing this letter up won’t get you any where I don’t think. On news allot lately and police force claims they were just following existing rules and busting drivers with out of date license stickers.
  14. Years ago I use to run with a studded track. Near Huntsville on that d101b and I came to a quick stop to allow traffic thru. And my buddy comes along and can’t stop no studs banged right into me. Only damage was a few scratched bumpers. Ever since that incident I always stop more slowly and look behind me. Sure enough when we got to our destination that night. These two guys showed up. One guy had his rear tail lamp all smashed and carbide rips on seat. He stopped to take a look at a moose and his buddy was day dreaming and hit him at like 40 mph or so. Eeeeck.
  15. Clubs in south ran into same thing, years ago. Landowners wanted free permits to keep trail on property. Doesn’t sound like much compared to crop damage and yahoo’s that go all Over place on their property. I know one club lost trail when they denied request for two permits from land owner. Even if club used fundraiser money word would get around fast and every land owner that has or know’s someone with a sled will want a free permit or two.
  16. Which one is that and why? The side loops that they Groom with alpine are most fun. Going up that big hill is a blast but when one time I had a guy come straight at me, going up wrong way. Ahhh lucky it wasn’t Icey and be stopped and rolled back down backwards to let me thru. Few that was a close one.
  17. In kinmount or right outside hailburton village on rail trail? They always like to sit near all stop signs. Easy safe spot to check papers. I have also been stopped in mattawa before river crossing coming into town. One officer on north trail and one on other side of river too, in police cars. They already had my sled registration numbers on camera if I decided to do a u turn and go back into bush. Got yeah no matter what you do.
  18. Only area that I know this has happened is d108A from hornepayne to dub. Can’t open it because going south is a different health unit. So now trail sits un groomed until middle of January it seems. If it gets extended then no connection will be made.
  19. Sometimes you just take a wrong turn and then say ow crapola you are riding on slush and water that isn’t frozen solid. I really need to get a gps on sled. Been close to go swimming a few times but always made it thru iffy area’s. Almost sank once on Kennis lake near forest. No snow left on road early in winter and people were riding from forest across lake to base camp as a short cut, instead of going long way or down bare kennies lake road. It was late in day and low on fuel, I took lake way. Lots of slush and some open water along way. Thankfully I made It that day. Followed some so so packed goat path trail back to base camp after lake. Almost got stuck on that path, which I learned later was old access trail, oops.
  20. That’s cool. 6 pick down is my blue viper on left side, While stopping at ice caves. Beside it is a Polaris iq 600 that my friend Sarah was riding. Still can’t believe we got a bit lost after lunch at bass lake house. Thankfully leaders back tracked us and made it back to wharf in slush snow conditions if you remember. I must have just missed you that day .
  21. What about day we were on donuts musoka tourer and sponge bob decided to run open channel near lake joesph. He sank there and he got a diver and put a rope on it. Then as diver was down there working on getting rope tied to sled, a Yamaha comes splashing thru just narrowly missing diver. Pretty sure that person was on this board on some point too. 10 of us dragged sled out on a rope. Bob got it running and rode rest of season. Then I seen sled for sale at end of season. Buyer beware out there. Must have been a few others there like Canuck and his wife that day love my viper and a few other long time members.
  22. I never gone down but have been with people that have and usually doing somthing stupid like running open channel between two lakes. Ruins day pretty fast when you have to make other arrangements. No way I would want to try any skipping this winter, with not many places to go to dry out, If you do go down.
  23. All these posts just gives peoples ideas. So far there are no gates involved. Hopefully we don’t loose any trails since with covid hard to go and negotiate it back. I have already seen some upset land owners online, that have threatened to call cops. Surely not all a drama show.
  24. With weather not going far in Parry sound area either.
  25. Riding still good in south if you have private land that didn’t get torn up during mild spell. Did a small tourer today. Stayed off septic system and flower beds lol, but manure pile is fair game!
