I have been in there several times and been stopped by opp. They usually go in and do a blitz every so often. They told me they judge speed by thier eyes so obviously they weren’t in there to hand out speeding tickets, but to check paper work and insurance and ensure you had paid for day. Lots of people just ride in and don’t pay and use trails for a few hours and leave. So they do blitz’s every so often to catch these people. Strictly paid by forest as it is private. If you had a can and racing around in there, I am sure they would come up with some sort of extra fine.

X2. To get that new trail cut and ready is amazing. Just that creek is abit of an issue. They said land owner pulled permission for no apparent reason too. Should be a seasonal lease with a tax rebate for land owner, so this comes to an end. We need to lobby government for some kind of land tax credit for trail system on private land. Snow ball that is going to be too big and roll out of control soon. We need to do something. Maybe a letter would get governments attention.

Breath mask system is good. Still using my original modular from 1997. Replaced mask system a few times but it is very comfortable and never fogs up.

Don’t worry that will change if temps can drop abit and winds pick up. All snow is heavy wet stuff so far this year. Good for building a base if it gets packed down. No drifting snow to help build trail base though.

I blame mto. They have taken over everything but decreased enforcement. Do you think it was police forces didn’t want wannabe trail patrol officers doing thier job, so those stop programs were ended? Now we just have police presence mostly in cars at various locations around the province.

You don’t change oil though you just trade? No 500 Km service no more?

What’s wrong with Polaris oil besides price? Those guys get product for free to do a review. I always used manufacturer oil except Yamaha’s no synthetic available then, so I used shell, since it was easy to find at gas stations at the time.

Thanks living. I seen some pictures of B from hcsa page. Looks like it is going to be a few weeks yet before it is ready if weather co-operates. They are out there with tracks on some sort of utv pulling a small drag. How is ice coming along on local lakes?

I always thought technology can save this sport. Must be Some way to start tracking snowmobiles and where they ride and when. Then it wouldn’t take long to correct this trespassing and no respect issue.

Not going to happen. Local club puts up signs saying wheat field and there are a million tracks across it. Baden subdivision is a huge problem on its own. Lots of people own sleds snd think back yard behind there house is a huge play ground. We lost a nearby trail years ago because sledders wouldn’t stay out of gravel pit, where trail past.

Surprised course has no camara’s up. They have had this problem in past.

Are those Weber grill owners kid by any chance?

Sounds promising if club can keep sledders on trail by regular grooming. That will be a high traffic trail no doubt and if it gets rough, riders will wonder off trail again.

Yes that’s me too and my hen at time named Sarah riding my dads Polaris. Standing there watching everyone get sled ready to be pulled out.

You want to fight cop who gives you a ticket. A reason to stop you as well. Lots of tickets handed out in south over last few months. A real grey area if police force wants to apply law and give you ticket anyways. Bringing this letter up won’t get you any where I don’t think. On news allot lately and police force claims they were just following existing rules and busting drivers with out of date license stickers.

Years ago I use to run with a studded track. Near Huntsville on that d101b and I came to a quick stop to allow traffic thru. And my buddy comes along and can’t stop no studs banged right into me. Only damage was a few scratched bumpers. Ever since that incident I always stop more slowly and look behind me. Sure enough when we got to our destination that night. These two guys showed up. One guy had his rear tail lamp all smashed and carbide rips on seat. He stopped to take a look at a moose and his buddy was day dreaming and hit him at like 40 mph or so. Eeeeck.

Clubs in south ran into same thing, years ago. Landowners wanted free permits to keep trail on property. Doesn’t sound like much compared to crop damage and yahoo’s that go all Over place on their property. I know one club lost trail when they denied request for two permits from land owner. Even if club used fundraiser money word would get around fast and every land owner that has or know’s someone with a sled will want a free permit or two.
