  1. Starting in Cochrane for a couple of days, then Hearst for the night, Longlac for the night, back to Hearst for night, Kap for the night, then Cochrane for the last 2 nights, based on our schedules it might be slim pickings after that.

  3. Pizza or Seafood Pasta are my favourites there for sure.
  4. thinking we may ride that way on Sunday as we have some friends coming up this weekend.
  5. 2 more weeks buddy!!! then fire away all you want.
  6. Thanks for posting, I will be there Friday night and likely Saturday for a few hours mostly at the Polaris booth answering questions, Hope to see some of you guys around.
  7. RIp much too young and tragic
  8. I’ve been biting my tongue on this topic and yes I agree there is some questionable posts and comments but with almost 30000 members there will be bound to be some members that are dicks for sure. Myself and another member from this Very forum are both admins for 705 and try our best with the rest of admin team to keep the group in check as much as possible. What I don’t understand is if you don’t like the group then why not just leave it. I do agree there is a few Fb groups that are very similar in posts to what we have here on OC and shared riding experiences. To lump all the guys riding with cans and say they are all young and members of groups like 705 you are very sadly mistaken. Sorry for being long winded but I felt I needed to share my comments.
  9. Hope it all works out for you SJ, I know how frustrating stuff like this can be. Sorry to hear it mucked up your existing trip and the upcoming one.

  11. March 2nd is the release date of the one you really want to wait for to see...
  12. Hope to see some of you this Sunday at our first trailside bbq and demo day fundraiser for Snowcrest Riders.

  14. I’m off Thursday and Friday i would love to a lake run with you as I’m not familiar with the lake in the winter
  15. Here is what was posted on their FB page this am. Luc had mentioned last week this was likely going to happen, We have booked to head out there in March but will be needing to rebook our trip plans as well Attention!!!! Due to increased logging activities on the D trail West we have decided to shut down the trail from 12 miles road to the West. Wish we did not have to do this but there is too much plowed roads to run and as soon as the sun will shine the road will be on dirt
  16. Got back last night from our week long trip through Northern Ontario, Drove to SSM last Sunday and stayed at the Ambassador Motel, nice place, left Monday am with our group of 9, Reevester, Go Bills, Wimpy, myself and Karen and 4 other that are not on the forum, rode to Wawa with a stop at Halfway Haven, new manager is really nice and and stayed at the Wawa Motor Inn for the first time, good restaurant and again would stay there again, next day we left Wawa and headed for Hearst and stayed at the Companion, did the lake run up to Dub which was quite nice, stopped in at Dub for fuel and a visit with Luc, Lunch at Cindy's and met up with Perry from the Hornepayne club, on to Hearst and stayed at the Companion, dinner with Denis and special thank you for grabbing oil for the one Doo in the group and some good laughs with us. Next day we left for Timmins and stayed at the Bon Air, not getting into details but we will not be staying there again in the future, next day we had our longest day of the week, 265 miles to Windy Lake Motel, stopped in a Minikawa for Fuel, Tree Bears for lunch and gas at Shining Tree Camp, another gas stop at Cartier and arrived at Windy Lake Motel around 7pm or so, group was very tired, Soupkids joined us for dinner and brought a set of carbides for one of the guys that had not replaced his stock carbides. Next day left and headed to Dunlop Lake Lodge, great place, again never been before but will be sure to visit again with the sleds and quads for sure, Met up with Dan and his friend Chad and Scott and Paige for dinner and drinks, good times there, amazing lodge for sure. Last day we headed for SSM and made it back to the Ambassador, found the signage around SSM a little lacking but I know they have had their struggles this year for sure. All in all a great trip 1300 miles/2100 kms of fun times, laughs and always an adventure for sure, good thing is we had no breakdowns or incidents, other than a couple of small luggage issues lol.
  17. Our group ate lunch there today menu is burgers sausage on a bun few other hot items chilli and soup, good food very reasonable priced and they take credit or debt as well. Super nice guy running it.
  18. Rode from the Soo to Wawa, trails a little rough coming out of town but much better once we got further north. Stopped in at Halfway for lunch met Drew the new manager he’s really nice. You can certainly tell it’s been cleaned up quite a bit. Stayed in Wawa and heading to Hearst this am
  19. have a great trip, our group will be at the Ambassador Sunday afternoon then off for a week
  20. on your way to Cochrane coming through Iroquois Falls Stop in at Rosalea's great little lunch spot, good food right on the main drag of town. Have a great time and enjoy your trip.
  21. Our group heads the Soo next Sunday, hitting Wawa, Hearst, Timmins, Windy Lake, Elliott Lake and then back to the Soo over the course of the week, Looking forward to the first of two upcoming Northern Ontario rides.
  22. Thanks, we may try to do that on Sunday from our place in Gravenhurst. See how we make out.
  23. 4 year warranty on the Polaris 850 when you snowcheck them, no mileage restrictions, I put quite a few miles on my 2019 Indy 850 last year and was worked flawlessly, on our 2020's both have around 1500 miles so far and other than a temp sensor issue which has been looked after sleds are working great. Snowcrest is hosting a Trailside bbq and Polaris Demo Day at Northgate Polaris on Sunday Feb 16th from 11am to 2pm, feel free to stop in and check it out.
