Turbo Doo
Ok, so from Cochrane into Quebec on the A102Q?, whats the town you would come to to stop for lunch if you ran that way for a day tour? No problem getting there on a tank of gas? Looks like La Sarre?... Jeff
Muskoka Man
i thinkit was le riene was the first little town ,just after the bridge into Que, little restaurant in the little town , it looks like a school house of some kind , gas there too about 1 K away on your right , hard to find as the signs were small , we were low on gas but its doable with no worry FYI , dont let buddy at the gas station fill your sled , he will let it over flow all over your sled , he is not the sharpest tool in the shed
sledjunk
It is an interesting experience, but don't expect it to test your turning ability. It is a very straight and desolate run. There is nothing between La Reine and Cochrane. The restaurant at the schoolhouse is very good and the hosts are very helpful and friendly (in spite of our lack of french language ability). They are very willing to try to help.

Muskoka Man
Probably do day trips , we have done Cochrane to hearst and back in a day , but that was mid season , probably out to Kap or further one day , then loops and touring any groomed feeders 2nd day , Weather looks good for next week , if we can get 300 ks a day we will be happy for the start of the season

Probably won't make those kind of klicks though. Ms. SJ is relatively new and a little slower, but the new sled calls for 6 grand for first 100 Mi then under 8 grand for the next 400 Mi. for break in. What ever we get will be "miles of smiles". Hope more trails in the area open up on the IIFM over the next few days.
