Blake G Posted April 12, 2016 Share Posted April 12, 2016 Tentatively planning to drive to Cochrane tomorrow - Tuesday April 12 - with another Gravenhurst original, Moose Laker. If anyone else is planning to do the same, let me know. Hoping to sled a bit upon arrival tomorrow, take a longer run on Wednesday, then have a quick ride before departing Thursday. Subject to changes of course. I've heard rumours of other OC'ers heading up on the weekend, so let's hope the trails stand up during the upcoming warm sunny days. A couple of questions: Does anyone know a way to ride through Timmins with the existing small sections of red trails? Certain trails have closed in the past few days, but there is more snow in Cochrane, and on the trails viewable from Highway 11, than there was during March Break or at the first of April. Blake G Posted April 13, 2016 Author Share Posted April 13, 2016 For anyone interested, here's a video showing trail conditions from this morning. Only two other sledders at Westway. This video shows our ride from Westway out the A trail to A103. We went as far as the ferry and got a tour from Operator Butch. After that we took the Genier Loop, A south toward Iroquois Falls, and a few other areas. Trail were uniformly excellent. Moose Laker and I put on a total of 233 kilometres. We saw only two other sledders in our travels. I guess there'll be no more sledding for me, until the gales of November come early. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
