white dragon
I was over a hr into this post when I deleted all of it,will now break into days... bill,glenn(fire242) & I left for Elliot lk around noon to try & stay ahead of storm.we arrived at Dunlop lk lodge at 5,followed in by a bunch of sleds.mostly Polaris...go figure.we knew 2 of the sleds...wait for it..vr700 & his dad.we met for dinner & drinks, was open mic on wed nite.lots of local talent, some good & not so good.was a lot fun pic of the gang pic of owner trish on left & bartender place has decent size bar & big dining area... thurs morning we left by 9am,the trails were tight, twisty & hilly right outta the gate.proved pain on way back.20km down trail it opened up abit we made it to Aubrey falls for fuel & brunch nice little place we carried down the trail till we seen the groomer ac+ya warned us about..blown tire trails were nice to halfway haven we got to halfway around 3:30ish,bunch of sleds getting fuel so we took little look inside.when bill & I stepped back outside he said"what the hell have you got us into"ac+ya(scott) & his daughter are very well know in the area...celebrities in fact as we waited for scott & crew,we met shaun.he is a great host & cook,he takes time to meet everyone & take care of anything you need...great guy got into the booze abit with scott & crew, shaun fed me around 12 & stayed up with few of us till 2:30 guys who we met at Dunlop came to halfway too, when they heading out fri morning said see you guys later.didn't think in 10 minutes, guy walks said wrote sled off..rammed into back of 2 other sleds...sheared his skis & a-arms right off bill & I helped life into sleigh...slowed us down. 10 of us...3 Canadians & 7 americans...something to do with exchange rate..we were only allowed 3 ? lol trails were ok were groomer made it but ruff where it broke down.here very nice we stopped at a dam near wawa our next stop was a look out near wawa yes you could get cell service there we stopped in wawa for gas, then carried onto d'ville.we arrived at rmr at 3:30ish,pat picked me up a 24 & bottle chilling in our fridge.another great host.pat made arrangements for us to eat at ernies for a burger.pat & his buddy rode with us. burgers were great, scott daughter helped ernie out taking orders & serving.while at ernies heard his son say halfway called to say grader was sideways in ditch blocking fuel truck.but they manged to right it.back to rmr for little chit-chat downstairs, earlier nite next morning at breakfast ski-dooboy walks in,talks with scott then comes over to say hi &to tell us he made little trail to get around wash-out.we were doing the 100 mile loop...trail was groomed to wash-out & was nice the other side was ungroomed to point, but was great.we then gassed up at worlds oddest gas station in d'ville we headed to hawk junction great food, alittle slow we headed back to wawa gassed up & headed back to halfway,it was snowing like crazy but made trails alittle softer.got back at 7;30.hadf great roast beef dinner & back into the chit-chat.bill took late shift this nite.woke up with 8" of fresh snow.had breaky & said our good byes group pic trails were tricky on way back with new snow.made it back around 4 & hit the road home know we went aross the resvoir too, think that was a real flat run where we did top speed run.got mine up to 106 mph on dreamometer.just basically followed our American tour guide.got 750 miles on & had a great time thx a lot for the great time we had with you & your crew...great people shaun took this sign down when I came back Saturday nite

AC+YA
Great post. That sign is from Dub in the lol bar/ resto. Wawa Lake was the fastest part. The Magpie and Dog Lake were both deep snow covered. It was a fast 100 mile loop! Had a great time with everyone. Scott
