While passing through North Bay heading fishing picked up a paper at the Petro Canada at top of Hwy # 11 to read that the Mo Zee On Inn has succumbed to financial times and has has closed. The article was short but to the point. The owners were fed up and have gone back to there previous occupations. Thanks for all the good times Mo ! For sale boys ! AkronOrange
We were there once this past year. The place was dead, I think there were more "employees" there than patrons. It's too bad.

bbakernbay
Change text size for the story Print Report an error A young Toronto entrepreneur has purchased an infamous landmark in North Bay. Dillon Kakanis, who is in his 20s, told The Nugget he and his partners from the Toronto and Guelph area, made an offer on the Moe-Ze-On-Inn last week. The adult strip club, which is located on a 10,000-square-foot piece of property off Pinewood Park Drive, was closed earlier this month. “Our conditional offer has been accepted and we expect to take possession by the summer,” he said Wednesday. The adult entertainment bar and motel, which now sits empty, was well known in North Bay and throughout the province. “We certainly wouldn't have bought the place if there wasn't a market,” Kakanis said. Kakanis isn't new to the adult entertainment industry. He said his family has a history in the adult entertainment business. But what caught his eye was the location and the fact there are only two licences for this type of entertainment in North Bay. “North Bay is up and coming. It's a hot place to be right now with the mining industry taking off,” he said. “North Bay has a hometown feel but at the same time has a city vibe.” What exactly the strip club will look like remains undetermined. Kakanis said he could spend anywhere between $50,000 to one million on renovations. He said everything is on the table including tearing down the building and starting over. “There's so much we can do with the place, but we wanna class-up the place. We want people to feel comfortable walking through the doors after work and not feel like they are embarrassed if someone sees their car out front.” “Adult entertainment isn't about a bunch of old scum bags, we want to give it a good name.” And what exactly the name is also hasn't been confirmed. Kakanis said he isn't married to the idea of keeping the name – the Moe-Ze-On-Inn. He said the new adult entertainment business will have a bar and restaurant and possibly a night club and motel. “We want to attract everyone from the second year Nipissing University student to the 45-year-old investor.” j.hamilton-mccharles@sunmedia.ca

revrnd
Maybe if North Bay had an NFL or NBA franchise to go along w/ the Battalion, 2 strip joints could make a go of it in the city.

soupkids
The bigest problem with the Moe Z is location for upscale patrons. It is at the extreem south end of the bay, more of a working/industrial class area. I do wish them luck with it.

The Bills are not moving! Hope the place remains open; good trail access, you don't have to ride through town to get to the trail.
revrnd
NFL? The Bills are not moving! LOL Don't most felony charges involving NFL or NBA players involve strip joints/"gentlemen's clubs" & firearms?
