I've been using an app from buffalo channel 4 wivb for 24hr radar lately. Usually pretty accurate.

Last year Port Sydney didnt open till early Feb after the huge snow dump then thaw in Jan. Tall Pines, ASC and Baysville can usually get groomers going with a foot or 2 of snow. I rode 6500kms last season with half of that in Quebec. It was only a few years ago we had record snow and cold and then flooding in the spring in Muskoka. Also 16' or 17' we were riding at Christmas and kept going till April! I'm certain its not the carbon which is essential to life on earth causing the warm up. Its that giant continuously exploding ball of fire in the sky called the Sun. Thats believable. Just my 2 cents.
  4. I was offered 11-12k for my spring check 23' 600 with 6500kms on it. The numbers didnt work on a in season sled with only 1 year warranty. If they gave 2 years warranty like they used too maybe that'd work. I'll ride it another year and top it up with warranty and sell it next year.
  5. Starlink wifi will be great for calling for a flat bed/trailer up there for broken sleds. Lets hope they still keep the chili fresh with a ladel full of the hot dog water. Thats a really special touch you cant get just anywhere 👌
  6. Im back in the OC saddle, my Ontario permits ordered as usual but deciding on Quebec still. Last year i did multi day passes and it woulda been cheaper to get the full season pass. Got till dec 1 to decide. Either way im still pumping quarters into that arcade game all day long lol
  7. The OPP have been looking for that nuisance cat for years. Ran out in front of a lot of people in Ontario. Lol 😂 I have a company pick-up truck and if a new guy comes along, has ambition and actually tries to do a good job, i'll wake up early and pick them up if they're having cash flow or vehicle/license problems. Heck i'll lend em the money if they just show some effort. Happened a few times over the years. Sadly most cant even use a rake or a shovel. Lack of a father figure perhaps with a lot of them i guess. No tonka toys growing up, maybe playing with barbie dolls, i dont know. I find they cant communicate in person either. Its sad really.
  8. Possibility of bikes and sleds in the same day🫠
  9. Have fun! We stopped for pie in Cartier at Kelly's Diner and it was excellent. They have gas too.
  10. They are planning to re-open this week under "new ownership". Now we just need the restaurant to open.
  11. My favourite is when im riding down the trail, got the brp app running on the phone in the glovebox and i start looking for my phone in my pocket. Hey dummy you're looking right at it! Lol
  12. Wow we just a got a new axe and a deer skull at Freds place this season 🤣😂🤣just kidding. Lol That is annoying. I noticed there was no axe and could use a dust pan as well. If i come across either of those items needing a new home i'll grab em for next season and bring em over. One thing i put in at Freds was a battery motion light outside and some inside battery night lights. No one stole the motion light yet after 4 years and its as handy as pocket in a tshirt but they've stole 2 out of 3 inside night lights. And somehow the stove handle got broke off this year. How the hell do ya break a stove handle? Makes ya wonder.
  13. I turned around at trail 11. Always great finding new spots. I will check out the ice caves next year for sure. Perfect spot to stop for a break at that shelter.
  14. One last kick at the can today. Set out to find the warm up shelter on 62. HGR and Baysville club werent groomed but stiil in nice shape. Road scratch thru Baysville was ok. Got to 64 and 101 after that tough section of 101 and tall pines had groomed last night! Woohoo! 👌Across Raven lake and 64 was groomed too! Couple water boils and icy spots but absolutely mint!! Up to62 and its groomed up nice. Found the shelter and i gotta say bravo Tall pines, nice shelter! Had a coffee and a smoke then headed back satisfied with the successful mission. Got back to Mary lake and the stakes were pulled while i was gone. Checked the itg once home and i see hgr and hw pulled the plug on this season. I see Tall pines is leaving them yellow and kudos to them on that. They're in great shape!
  15. Its the resale on the 2 strokes that u take a beating on. If u pile on the km's and you run out of warranty, the value drops alot more than a 4stroke and then your new one costs way more. I love my Blizzard but its got over 6k kms on it now and 1 season of warranty left. Still decent resale. If i keep it another season it'll have 10-12k kms on it with no warranty left for a third season and new prospective owner. I've been pricing out a new n/a 900 just based on the resale benefits.
  16. Its not too bad in HGR territory either! Ripping around on the ol blizzard! Made it to Baysville for a burger
  17. The CKX 1.5 tranz AMS looks fairly budget friendly plus its a modular which i prefer over the mission and oxygen and the contact. A riding buddy of mine has one and says he's cord free now too just like my mission. The cordless thing to me is a huge game changer especially with wearing glasses. Good bye no-fog mask!!
  18. I was wondering the same. Looking at specs online, the 2 stroke cats have the 44 ltr tank.
  19. Im not officially done for the season, i may get out again but i've had my fill for the year. Forecast doesn't look great around here either.
  20. Good eye. Stayed there last night. Good supper and breakfast. We are back in muskoka. Enjoy the ride! We stayed away from south and west of Garson and south of windy lake. Lots of locals out riding today that had trailered up north of town. Head north to top of wanapatei. C north towards shining tree looked fresh groomed today. Not sure if shining tree came down from their end. Wolf loop was excellent and top of moose is excellent as well. 56 was good once north of town too.
  21. At Rocky's now waiting on a Bison burger. Good going north of Garson. A bit thin around Capreol. C111 c206 are awesome.
  22. Still good to stage from Garson tomorrow? Getting thin? I see its red just south towards moonlight.
  23. Any word on the section of 64 at the northeast of kawagama? Always a great trail and easy access to the 65-67 loops.
  24. If anyone is out in HGR area today on d103 clearwater lake stop in and say hi. Follow the trail when u see a huge skidoo banner! They'll be a whack of z120, and mxz 200's if you got kids with ya. I made a jump too. I'll have the fire rockin.
