  1. Interesting comments about black trailers as I just picked up my new trailer today. Hopefully white will stay clean looking.
  2. I have a new Pace trailer coming. The dealer cannot get enough trailers this year. He had 7 come in 2weeks ago and all were gone in a week. New orders are 5 months out.
  3. How thick is the lattice? I saw 0.2” thickness. Is that right? I am currently looking at using in my new trailer.
  4. I use my truck for work so i need to record my mileage and my fuel. Apps make it easy to check or see what your fuel usage is. And I think it’s pretty interesting to look at the last 7 or so vehicles I have driven and compare the mileage and expenses.
  5. Will the Muff-pot be making a comeback?
  6. My buddy has similar trailer to your new one but tandem axle. He pulls with F150 with 5L and was at 23l/100km travelling at 105km/hr.
  7. My dad is 83. Getting old sucks but acting old is another thing. My dad will try to work right along side of us whether it’s splitting wood or putting a roof on a cottage. This is the first year in a long time my parents are not going south with their fifth wheel. I have upgraded my second sled and trailer this year and we will do some trips together.
  8. Hey 02sled it’s a Rev Arc ramp that we used. Pretty good ramp with an additional traction section that folds out so no spinning out on icy parking lots.
  9. Who makes it never heard of it before.
  10. With prices the way they are this year be ready for a large number of thefts. Scammers and thieves will be out in full force.
  11. Received an advertising email from Karyon snowmobile sleighs. Not quite what OP were looking for but it’s a Canadian company and you could possibly modify so if you haven’t seen before here they are. Looks light weight. https://www.karyon.ca/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&keyword=karyon bogan&device=t&utm_campaign=7852800136&adgroupid=81557483883&utm_term=karyon bogan&matchtype=p&utm_content=394148973560&network=g&placement=&target=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3ZK13sKY7QIVYuW1Ch1XWw_lEAAYASAAEgJZCfD_BwE Interesting product that sled clubs could have for pulling in disabled sleds but for most pelican style would be way to go.

  13. 2017 Ram 1500 sport pulling a 7.5wide x 16 Mission hybrid trailer 1 sled driving 416 from Ottawa to Milton on 401 and average was above 20 l/100km travelling at 115 to 120ish. Without trailer i see avg around 14.1l/100km. 154,000kms on truck and I have every fill up tracked on an app. Best tank ever was high 11 l/100km.
  14. I see 18 -20 l/100kms towing my hybrid. Especially if I put my foot into it a little.
  15. I know the 7 x 23 is well within the 1500 tow capabilities. How do you find the towing mpg?
  16. One of the guys I know mentioned a 7 x 27. But at some point I have to stop. What do you tow with?
  17. At some point I have to tell her something. She doesn’t know about the Assault yet.
  18. Thank you for the responses Turbo doo and Sledjunk. Now to justify it to “the bank”.
  19. So you might have to trade after a year or two? Thats what I am worried will happen to me.
  20. Both my sleds are fairly long. Sled 1 is a Polaris Assault Sled 2 is a Polaris Titan. 155 x 20 track. Sled is 11ft long and takes up a lot of space. I am not sure both would fit in the PR 147. Or if there would be any benefit over my current trailer. So I debate the 187. I should probably just just keep what I have but what’s the fun in that!
  21. So I am considering a new trailer. I would be going from a 7 1/2 wide by 16 hybrid single axle trailer to a tandem axle 7 wide by 18 plus 5 foot vee. I have 2 sleds and am looking at hauling a third periodically. The downside is when I haul one sled in the larger trailer. Anyone with a 18 plus vee absolutely hate it? Anyone with that sized trailer have comments?
  22. If the dreamometer says it must be true. I also question the average L/100km I hear from many people. My buddies included. Even if the trip computer on brand new F250 is showing 8.9L/100km And is off by 10% that’s still 9.9L/100km. Pretty good mileage compared to my dads 2014 that is hand calculated 13 to 15L/100km depending on route. Also I think the newer emissions systems work better so that lightly driven 2500 Diesels do not suffer the same issues as earlier generation diesel pick ups..
  23. With the pricing of the new 150 or 1500 class trucks the new diesels in 250 or2500 series are getting closer in affordability. And the maintenance and economy of the new big diesels will compete with the smaller 1/2 ton class. I have friends who drive New F250 with 6.7 and Chev 2500 with Duramax. Both get under 10l/100km while driving unloaded. That is far better then my dad’s 2015 F250 Diesel, my Ram 1500 with 5.7 hemp and my previous eco boost f 150. And when you go to sell the 2500 they hold their value way better then a 1/2 ton that drops $20,000 by the first time you take it home.
  24. If your interested I know of a 2015 ZR 700 that you could buy for $10,000. mint condition. Previous owner meticulous with maintenance.
  25. A good buddy bought it. I could never ride a Cat.
