The cops let him proceed with the ticket but we were stopped 3 more times that day and every time he was threatened with a ticket until he showed the cops that he already received a ticket and explaining we were just trying to get to the motel. Another kid in our group had sled troubles on Day 2 and we called CAA to flat bed him back to Ville Marie. The kid with the can threw his sled on the flat bed as well as he was getting nervous that he was going to get another ticket.

This was the free weekend 2 years ago. The kid on the MXZ was with our group. He got a $400 ticket within 30 mins of leaving Rouyn for a can.

That sounds barely crackable to me? Sending an ECU to the USA and waiting 3-4 weeks to get it back is not worth the hassle. Notice they didnt even mention the cost of this service. I guarantee that if they are the only people who are getting into the ECUs, they will want $1000 for this service.

It has been brought to my attention, that Gary Westaway aka 02Sled passed away this week. He owned some property around the corner from our place in Port Severn and was quite active on the sled forums. I honestly dont have a lot of details but will post them when I know more. RIP Gary

I talked to my dealer last night. He told me that more delays are coming. He came right out and said not to expect my Jan delivery sled until Feb.

I used to be the biggest mod guy around but on a newer 2 stroke you have to spend SOOOO much money to get minor gains, it just isnt worth it anymore. 4 strokes on the other hand seem to be easy to mod.

The models with the Smart Shox are the ones that a lot of tuners havent been able to crack as they have a completely different ECU.

Its trying its hardest to snow in Mitchell right now.

My 600XRS is slated for Jan delivery and I am not that optimistic as my Seadoos didnt arrive until late July after being told I would have May/June delivery dates.

For sure, but the SXS tuners have had the same ECUs to work with for a year and havent been able to crack the boxes yet.

Sounds like the 900Rs with Smart Shox are going to be a problem to flash as the ECU is so far uncrackable.

My buddy is a Cat dealer and he said that he should be getting some T-Cats late November/Early Dec but his rep is warning him that some will be arriving in Jan. Yamaha flat out does not have enough sleds to satisfy orders and are going so far to call customers to see if they truly did order one and are offering to let them out of their deals to free up inventory. This info came right from a Mgr at Yamaha Canada.

We got stuck in a storm on the way home from Gaspe 2 years ago and had to sleep in the high school gym in Montmagny.

OFSC permit arrived today. Still on the fence about buying a full season Quebec permit. 60/40 that I will.

Looks like they will be offering a voucher for a permit without a VIN as of Nov 1.

It probably wont mean a lot of difference to me but as mentioned above I can see it affecting people who are on more of a budget or new to the sport and just dont realize how expensive this hobby really costs.

I just used my VIN from my old sled. I have never had to show my receipt to the cops before.

My dealer said that he is down for 100 900s to arrive in January. He said there is no way that he can get 100 sleds built in a month. Even if they showed up Jan 2, there will still be guys without sleds in Feb. Its going to be a complete sh-t show trying to get these delivered.
