  1. I believe he has a PR147 and according to the website, overall length is 22.5 feet. https://www.tritontrailers.com/enclosed-cargo/pr/
  2. Totally agree with this and the booking part. On a couple of occasions we did a QC saddle bag trip for a week with no bookings and where we stopped for the day, we found accommodations successfully with no pre-bookings....I am not so sure in Ontario we would have been so lucky. It was crazy the hospitality we received and how some places opened up there doors for us mid-week when they were typically closed other than weekends when more people were looking for a place to stay.
  3. Due East might be consistently better with less traffic and avoiding minden might be a good idea too.....otherwise, head to Dorset, TP trails or ASC trails are usually great, wolf loop is nice, Kearney for lunch or to Baysville. B trail up to Whitney or Barry’s bay is a nice ride too, as long as B trail is groomed.... Lots of restaurants all over the place.
  4. We called a few places last year, Mekoos was one of them, but full for our dates, called Rabaska and booked two cabins for our group of 6. Ended up doing a trip to Mekoos for lunch one day and I’d say Rabaska is better..... off the beaten track, smaller crowds, great chef and service, definitely recommend them.
  5. Does she carry a Sheewee with her on your trips?!?!
  6. Otherwise, I am hopeful for a QC trip this year, I would love to do the Rabaska Lodge again for a week! Great place to stay, really enjoyed it there.
  7. Heard from one of my co-workers in QC today that there is talks of shutting down the province, other than "essential" stuff, starting around Dec 18 for 2 or 3 weeks to try and get the C19 numbers down.....nothing 100% confirmed yet though, but I imagine it will be confirmed very soon.
  8. Curious, what was your reason to have the v-nose ramp door on the passenger side? The snow bank concern if you are forced to park on a road makes sense, but I cannot think of another reason for it. Fuel door and man door on the drivers side make sense for fueling purposes.
  9. Also known as the Shewee.... https://www.shewee.ca/ I remember my sister telling me about these years ago, thought she was making a joke as I laughed my a$$ off, but she was serious....go figure!
  10. Sounds like a great retirement plan!
  11. Congrats! That is quite the move though to go from where you are to Cochrane.
  12. I know people say this and emotional that’s how they feel now or during the season, but after the summer break from the sport, there interests are recharged and last year is a distant memory, or at least the negatives ones are! And I’m starting to feel the need for a new ride, so next year that just might happen
  13. Seems like lots a people are on the sledding band wagon in lieu of their normal winter interests in light of C19, so when this lovely phase of the nightmare we’re livin ends, I can see some or most of the new audience leaving and selling their toys.....plus as you have stated, should this season be adversely affected by C19, your interest may waiver as well. I hope the new interests stick with the sport and gives it a new lifeline, but time will tell.
  14. Lol, obviously wish that wasn’t going to be the case, but going to be trailers and sleds on the block next year.
  15. So you have no mats or guides, just this coating? Curious what is the coating that is offered? I thought you were also one of the folks that had the lattice on the floor/ramp......
  16. It is not unusual for a club to "ask" riders to pack the trails as well......not usually an open invitation, but it is done.
  17. I will and do check mine that is on the display, cannot be bothered to hand calculate like some do. Does seeing it change my driving habits or deter me from buying a truck, etc......no, not at all, but I like to see what it is displaying. I think the biggest reason I like to see what it says is it can give me an idea if something is not quite right or what conditions I am driving in that either gets me great mileage (for a 3/4 ton truck that is) or $hitty mileage.
  18. I am thinking I will use screws if I install this in my trailer during the off season. No, trailer has marine grade flooring, so figured it was good.....and has been to date. The walls is just plain plywood that has not been treated and zero concerns with it. I was thinking the holes in the regular stuff was kind of big, need to remember this when & if I do it. Looking at the pictures of some trailers with this installed, I think it would be a good idea to add a straight strip perpendicular to the trailer entrance & swing door entrance where the lattice starts and the carbides will likely occasionally hit the wood floor vs. the lattice based on its criss-cross design leaving some opening at its starting edge. My ski guides have seen better days so time for an update, but the rubber mat's up the center and still in great shape, so likely leave the mats and just add the lattice around them.
  19. This is generally a big difference between stopping for lunch on a day trip around LOB, Dorset, G-hurst, Kearney, etc.....than stopping for lunch on a northern out of town trip where it is usually no where near as busy with sledders.
  20. Same guys who bitches about permit prices...... lol Seriously though, something must be wrong to see those numbers or some serious head wind up some big hills.
  21. Usually it is just the balaclava that has moisture, usually not dripping really, at least not mine, but damp for sure.....which might not be allowed to be brought in so bring spares. Helmets & gloves are usually placed on a shelf or coat rack type shelf vs. on a heater, neither are dripping wet though, but I am sure some places may have heaters. Perhaps a bin type system will be get used instead, that get cleaned after each use, not sure. But I am not overly concerned, some could say the same about all the masks people are wearing that get removed and placed on tables while you eat in a restaurant. I also think the science is flawed when you look around and what is going on, more of a poke and hope or certain agenda's perhaps....... There is very much a great big divide on this subject.
  22. Lets talk about the more exciting thing we dearly need & love to all ride on......how much frost in the ground do you have.....
  23. Ya, that is more my thinking & concern, the extended wait time for a table. On a normal year, there are large crowds around lunch, add reduced tables, reduced staff (likely), more work to be done (cleaning) & maybe more riders this year, going to be some tense moments for some......
