  1. With any luck your skis will go OVER the ice on the other side and not UNDER.
  2. Do you recall the TIME it took from Timmins to A107C ?
  3. That is what I wanted to know. Last time in Quebec we bought at a restaurant. I was unsure if merchants even had them to sell anymore. I will buy online tonight.
  4. Need a 3 day Quebec pass for Feb. 10, 11, 12th. Entering in Notre Dame du Nord. Is it possible to buy somewhere in that town ? Is it possible to buy online and still get the pass in time ? Is there a printable Pass ?
  5. Someone on a sled was hit and killed by by another hooligan jumping those drive ways way back around 2003 ? I would suspect the police are trying to keep the casualties down.
  6. Get gas at Shining Tree Camp at the bottom of the loop. Groomer home is there.
  7. Thanks for the info. When someone rides it this week or next week, please comment on how it is and the time it takes to do the run. Trying to go from Timmins to Gowganda for lunch, then to the trucks in New Liskeard on the last day of the trip. I think the C trail will take way too long.
  8. Has anyone rode the L143 from Timmins to Gowgana yet since it is yellow? I am wondering how long this ride is in hours. I have never rode it but I am hearing rumors it is slow going from other years. BP
  9. Doesn't matter much now. 4 of 6 of the tour crew has medical issues. Maybe next year.
  10. It's called climate change and everyone wants to deny it. Look around you. Then compare it to the 60's -70's. Ask someone old if you were not there.
  11. A fine scroll saw blade works as well, if you have a scroll saw. Finish with a sander.
  12. Clockwork Orange gang at work.
  13. Any work don when or if Larder Lake to Quebec will be staked/open ?
  14. The snow on this 225 acre farm had a crust covered with lots of fresh snow. Some big drifts along fences. I would say the average depth was about 8 inches. I rarely touched down on any rocks. There were no tracks on the Brunner trail crossing. Deep ditch on the south side would stop a sled pretty quick. There were tracks on the Sebringville to Mitchell trail crossing south of Wartburg. No tracks in Shakespeare. I would think there is enough for Milverton to start packing. Another snowfall (I would not call it a storm) like this weekend and things would be good. As long as it does not rain next weekend. A storm is what we used to get in the 60's and 70's when the back roads were clogged and it took a day or two for the maintainer to plow them open. My sister was stuck in Milverton one winter (Milverton High School) at a neighbour's Aunt and Uncles place. I think it took two days before she got home. 1/4 mile of that was by tractor. A little snow now gets everyone's kninckers knotted up pretty good.
  15. Here is a pair of Big Pussy Prepped sleds out for their first shake down test of the season getting ready for the big Quebec/Ontario tour next month. All is running as intended. Sorry folks, their not yellow. With any luck, they will drive out of Quebec under their own power. The snow is near Milverton where all trails (used to) lead.
  16. I guess the snow line is marching north to the French River. Snow in D5, meaning good rideable trails and not just snow on the ground, looks like a once in 10 year event. I think it has been over 10 years since I rode from Innerkip/Woodstock. D9 maybe a once in 5 year event. Two days last year on mostly bare ground.
  17. There is no reason to expend energy and money staking D5 anymore. I don't think there are stakes around Innerkip. At least I have not seen any obvious ones.
  18. I bet those Turbo Vipers are 2014, 2015, and early 2016's before the onset of the rubber rods. My buddy has a 2016.5 Viper and wanted a so called factory approved turbo kit but Kellys would not sell it. They would not say why. If you want a 2016.5 and later to stay together, you need to buy forged Carello rods and do a complete dis-assembly to change them. Yes some guys with unlimited money did that. Latter, people just bought a Sidewinder or a Thundercat. Do some reading on TY if you don't believe me.
  19. That is just an altitude kit to keep the engine at 165 HP. If it is boosted at sea level, (170hp) the rods will just break again and saw the engine in half. Same thing happened on 2016.5 and later Viper engines. Boost and BOOM. This forced everyone with a turbo boner to buy a Sidewinder that was actually made for the torque.
  20. The tanks are the same ! The Yamaha spec sheet is BS. This has been proven. And once it is proven it is good proof.
  21. Gas tank is about 37 liters. Should go better than 200 km but it depends on the factory high rpm clutching and the friction of every 2nd track clip being missing. Correcting those issues makes the fuel mileage better. From my own experience, last year went from Gowganda with burped tank to Rockys. I think around 180 km and used 26 liters to fill it.
  22. Is that the moat that starts in north Ellice and south Mornington and heads west through Elma and on to the Maitland ? You could loose a combine in there and never see it.
  23. You better read the instructions on the back of the permit again.
  24. I remember when the trail went across the river. 2001 ?
