Me and one other guy rode from Strathroy club house to Huntsville Parry sound and back in I think 2015 hasn’t been possible since . -
Biggest regrets or missed Opportunities.....Sledding

I always wanted to ride from home (20 km south of where the actual trail starts) to Dubreuilville Hearst Cochrane and back home but never had anyone that adventurous to do it with me. But now I don’t see the snow ever being good the whole way . Plus age is becoming a factor lol . -
We booked our February 10 day Quebec trip end of November and there were a couple places already booked up at that point . We have never booked that far ahead before we need 4 rooms and some remote areas.
-
I think as long as things turn around this warm up is probably for the best at least maybe things will freeze up .

Craig sent me the link we were able to get 6 tickets . I messaged the club first and just heard back from them said the online tickets are sold out. Great news for the club but not for anyone still wanting a ticket . Still some availability at the mall in Marathon.

I messaged Craig same response

I messaged as well just waiting for a response

Wow that’s crazy sounds like you are very lucky glad it had a good ending !! I’ve had two incidents in the couple years . Two years ago on a 3000 km Gaspie trip two hours in I was backing down a small hill after a wrong turn turned into a small divot and tipped over and fell on my cell phone in my inside pocket and cracked a rib the next 2900 km were kinda painful 😓. This past summer we were back in Gaspie again on a SXS trip on the third day our friends SXS had a small issue so we went to the dealership and got it fixed all was good . I walked out the door their was a new 4 seat SXS being unloaded off a transport high centred on the top of the ramp so I ran over to help and long story short it broke loose and came over top of me . Broken pelvis in two places and lots of bruises and a few cuts . So be careful out there things happened in a hurry . Merry Christmas and let’s all have a safe and happy sledding season .

Ordered my 2 Quebec permits not ordering Ontario permits as of now . I have bought 2 Ontario permits every year since 1989 some years 3 so when it snows every day all winter in Ontario you can thank me .

I talked to Patrick Dubreuilville Club President and Kirk Wawa club President on Sunday morning . Halfway is definitely not opening this year but D trail will be open weather permitting. Patrick is doing pretty well with the LUP signing but mostly crown land . Kirk said they still have lots to get signed yet . Both clubs are doing their best they each only have a handful active volunteers. We never discussed the Hornpayne motel opening it was just a short visit .

I know who he is and he has bought a new sled every year for probably 25 or 30 years I don’t think financing is a problem lol
-
So true . I’m glad I sold my sled in the spring . I talked to my dealer the other day he has a customer trying to sell his 24 XRS 850 big gauge smart shocks with 5000 miles the best offer he has had is 14000 . That’s a 10000 hit for one year .

I will be buying 2 Quebec permits and probably 2 Ontario permits

I ran regular studs for over 20 years never had a pull through but I always used doubles and use your head crossing roads and bare ground . In 2019 I switched to IR Im happy with IR track for the kind of riding I do pretty much all my riding is saddled bag trips it’s just a piece of mind not worrying about pull thoughts a 1000 Kms from the truck
-
I think any brand of 600 would fit the type of riding you plan on doing . I’ve been riding 850 renegades since 2019 sidewinders before that and Vipers before that . I’ve really enjoyed the 850 s but for this year I have a 900r coming hope I’m not making a mistake
