  2. Had another wonderful day riding with my 14 year old buddy. Trialed up to New liskeard , after Harveys and stop into Walmart for some snacks , and finally on the trail heading north at 1:51pm. Late start with time change also it seems! little bumpy on river , open fields great up to Englehart. A108 not the greatest into Kirkland. Slow and bumpy. šŸ˜Ŗ North of Kirkland A great.šŸ‘ stopped in for Chinese dinner at the small little resultant in matheson , back onto the trail 7pm. made it to gas in Cochrane 9:06pm. 321 km to the hotel. spend a fair bit of time exploring down some of the hydro lines (as free trail turns off) and tons of wheelies in the powder . Son love playing in the softer stuff. the Best Western swan hotel sure is a step up from the Chimo and Thriftlodge last year when we were up! didnā€™t see a SINGLE sled last 120km tonight . Off to Hearst and back tomorrow . Leaving gear in hotel for for the day so lighter to play around !

  4. Funny you say that. Mine did the same thing last week. Didnā€™t have any new batteries w me and wasnā€™t going to get any, so I swapped the ones from the remote at the cabin we had rented!

  5. Itā€™s the light from the helmet. The BV2S has a light on the back like many other helmets

  7. Great report, other than the broken sled. Did I miss what was wrong with overheating sled? We did a week long trip around that area a couple years ago from a single base, it was really good. Hereā€™s a panoramic picture from devils mountain. Lots in the area to explore - but be very careful on the lakes though!

  8. Usually when we go up to suds we stage from the STP lot and go from there. Actually we are going up Wednesday morning and may leave our rig there for our saddle bag trip or trailer up a little further depending on trail conditions. Let us know what the trails are like when you get a chance.

  9. Just got back, I arrived Monday and returned Friday, riding tuesday to thursday. On tuesday morning the trails were rough heading North, on the return the A trail was groomed.....the rest of the week all the trails were great, the only rough area being the river (A trail) as the groomer doesn't run it.....to say bumpy would be an understatement Tuesday run to Larder Lake and ate at the Muddy Moose.......great food. Wednesday run to Elk Lake Eco Centre for Lunch then to Kirland Lake and back Thursday run to Temagami Inn for lunch.,.....then back up to the L190 and down the A107Q (lake run) The A107Q is a must ride....the views running on the lake were spectacular.....there were some soft areas, but nothing to be of great concern. Stayed at the Econo Inn,.....very clean and you could walk into Alis Restaurant without going outside. Right on the trails and Esso across the road. Snow was deep if you missed a turn The ambulance didn't see the sign saying "Snowmobile Trail.....Your GPS is wrong.....Do not Enter" There was 12 of us....we managed to dig and push it back about 3 meters before finding out they had a tow truck coming......"See ya" Sorry about the sideways photos..... brian
