Met an interesting chap at the gas station. I'm the only resident in the village that snowmobiles, so my ranting falls on deaf ears. If it wasnt for the gas station being off the highway there wouldn't be any sleds around. The County says no snow on the 'non-sidewalks'/parking lanes. When the MTO maintained it, there was snow & ice to run on. No access to the Swiss Bear (their own doing as far as I'm concerned) & lousy access to the Sandman. Apsley has become Lindsay North... Was he having a good day or a bad day? LMAO
pt3189
I filled up 2 sleds and then stood in front of him for three minutes before he could look up from his phone texting conversation. Come to think of it , I am not even sure if looked at me at all. Had a great ride, son was done exams and trails were great.

revrnd
Today there's 9" on the snow stick. Drove past where the Chandos Lake Trail crosses CR 620 & the snow/trail condition looked OK.

Drove past where the Chandos Lake Trail crosses CR 620 & the snow/trail condition looked OK. We have a good amount of snow left on our trails, but some spots are just bare. The bare spots are frozen solid and there is ice. it will not take a lot to get going again. 5 cm on Wed will help and even the freezing rain on top of that with the high being well below freezing will add to the base. However, this will not be enough to ride on. We will need a good ten cm after that to get them going here. Might get another run at local riding yet, but time is short because once march is here, the longer days with warmer temps will end any riding fast. Hopeful to ride a few more days from home this season. However, it has been pretty good with about 15 days in total I have ridden from home. I will take that every year as a win. B trail across to Whitney in decent shape? We have a group going to our camp on 173 this weekend. Trying to give them an update.
