Is there more snow in Muskoka than there was in Dec' '09? I was over that way one Fri' & 11 was closed north of Bracebridge. Hwy 118 to Canarvon was barely passable.

And I was one of the ones sitting on 11 for about 4 hours, it was a thing of beauty!

The northbound ramp was closed. I sat @ the airport for almost an hour. A tractor trailer was stuck. My friend lived on Muskoka Falls Rd. had to drive north and come down from the next exit. That's where the highway closed.

Snow seems to be holding up pretty well in Mount Albert area just North of Newmarket. Hovering right around zero right now and are getting a mix of good heavy packing snow and ice pellets.

Only about 2 inches since last week.  It's been brutal cold, a bit less this week.  Calling for snow, but I see all of y'all down in Southern Ontario are getting the heavier doses.  We always only get a little dusting here and there.

We got 10mm of ice Friday night, and another 15 Saturday night, plus about 10cm of frozen granular stuff, looked like man made snow at a ski hill.

Took me 4 hours today to clear the driveway, and it's only 2 cars wide and 2 deep.

Already got a bunch of tree branches coming down in the backyard...

We've got about 15" on the ground. From what I can see on the branches on the trees in the yard, we got maybe a 1/4" of ice. Nothing in the way of branches down, so I don't think the "storm" caused much in the way of trail damage.

I see that the railbed from Kwartha Lakes to Kinmount is now Green. And quite a bit of yellow north of Pigeon Lake.  That's near you isn't it?  Good to see that trail has actually increased since after the storm.  Let me know how it is if you get out for a ride.
