  1. Sadly a sign of our times.....the entitled..... Hopefully this knucklehead will tell this knucklehead buddies and they all learn from it.......highly doubt it though You see similar problems everywhere, people will not hold a door for you, or if you do for them you seldom hear Thank You....or the FT's that walk 2 or 3 abreast on the sidewalk and won't move an inch so you could pass going the opposite way. I hope you can appease the landowner once more
  2. I wanted to do this run on thursday and couldn't get my regular riding buddies to commit. I'm hoping the trails survive next week and more snow comes with the predicted cold. Looking for sled accessable hotel/motel accommodation suggestions between Turkey Point and Parkhill. thanks
  3. I see there is a Holiday Inn just off the B5-36 in Strathroy Is there a path to it or is it all road running and how far? thanks brian
  4. Kincardine, Teeswater, Mildmay and back, 145kms. Crazy high winds and huge drifts......no fun today, heard more than one sledder got stuck. I cut the ride short and headed back home. Thank you to the fellow who was part of a group of three that gave me the heads up about the rail trail Walkerton to Mildmay being badly drifted in
  5. My buddy uses Legends Oil in his Polaris. It's a 2016 800, since switching about 5 yrs ago he has never had to clean the exhaust power valves or had any carbon build up. The exhaust fumes are less offensive than the Polaris oil as well. There is a good write up on their site explaining different oils, including why synthetic 2 stroke oil is not recommended. I don't have any experience with this as my sled is a 4 stroke. https://legendperformance.com/hybrid/#synthetics
  6. Be prepared for a good work out....once you're north of Lions Head it full on tight twisting blind turns with barely enough room for 2 sleds to pass in opposite directions. I've done it a couple times, and have no interest in repeating it, especially if you are the lead rider
  7. Bowed out again today....white outs. Also didn't feel like busting drifts......
  8. The is morning I cleared the driveway of about 8" of snow, and was able to leave my house and ride up the road to the trails, clear as a bell. Got to the start of the trail and I couldn't see the next telephone pole.......turned around and went home....total of 6kms today....lol Learned my lesson a few years back, riding home at night, blowing white outs, 3' drifts on the trail and getting blown off the trail by the high winds. Riding my heavy 4 stroke was not a pleasure that night.....never again.
  9. Tried getting over to the Dundalk area this morning, but got 20kms out of Kincardine and couldn't see 100 meters, with drifting coming across highway 9. Got caught in a blizzard on the trails at night and could hardly find the markers, most of the time it was a guess. Didn't want a repeat so I turned around. Seeing your post it looks like a nice bright sunny day that way
  10. Update part #s They are the 1.52/82’s part #503192052/053
  11. If you're heading out of Owen Sound, take the Club Trails up and around Big Bay to Wiarton, there's a great look out that is only accessible via snowmobile overlooking the bay and the 3 islands, then take the Feeder Trail B107 to Tobermory and back down via B108. Gas is available in Tobermory. Gas bar in Wiarton closed in the summer, but you can also get gas in Ferndale at the UPI gas bar, the Bear Tracks Inn and Restaurant which is a few 100 yards down the road is a good place to eat. Generally you are looking at a full day to go from Wiarton to Tobermory and back. It's slow going once you're into the Bruce Peninsula Park because of the tight narrow winding trail through the bush. You really need to be cautious in some areas as they are narrow blind corners, and barely wide enough for 2 sleds to pass. Personally I'd stay away from the Meaford, Collingwood, areas.....excessive road running
  12. Beside hoping for an honest seller, is there any other way of checking?
  13. This is the "Would have, Should have, Could have" discussion It was probably 3 yrs ago the Southern trails were open all the way to Turkey Point, albeit only for a week. I wanted to ride a loop from Bruce County down to Turkey Point and up the West Coast home taking 2 or 3 days. Couldn't get anyone interested, now they wish they had.......lol
  14. I contacted Craig to buy, never heard back.....know why now.....thanks
  15. I just felt the need to waste $10.00 lol
  16. I bought a permit holder sticker off Sledaddicz for $10.00. You got yourself a steal......lol
  17. Thank you, saw that. and thank you for letting him know I have a set for sale. He's in the US, with shipping costs he would be better buying new
  18. Heavier torsion springs.....these measure 0.361" x 0.361" compared to stock ones measuring 0.349" x 0.349". I don't know the part # John from Accelerated Technologies installed these when he set up my sled (2019 Enduro 900 Ace) for my 205lb bare weight I've since removed the rear air shock and put on an Elka Stage 4 and had to go with heavier springs to make up for the loss of support from the air shock. Asking $100.00 Cdn. Used for one season. Located in Kincardine
  19. LOL.....they just mentioned in the video how the Vibe system will not talk to the older Cardo Packtalk. They never did an install of the Cardo, which is what I'm after. thanks
  20. Like going, but just hate driving 3 hrs to get there.
  21. thanks. I had watched them, very informative, but nothing about installing a Cardo in the Advex
  22. My O2 helmet is 6 yrs old and I'm going to replace it. I've been very happy with the O2, but like the idea of the Advex being modular so I can eat, drink and smoke without taking it off. Presently have the Cardo Packtalk Bold which works flawlessly and I would prefer to install it into the Advex rather than purchasing the Vibe system which will not communicate with my buddy who uses the CPB as well. Have you installed a Cardo system in your Advex? I find the Cardo mics are very directional, and they need to be directly in front of your lips to be heard loudly and clearly. If I were to mount the wired Cardo mic where the Vibe mic mounts (offset to the front side of the helmet) I'm concerned it won't be effective Thoughts? experience? thanks brian
  23. don't have apple news, so I can't see your link
