  1. Even if the OFSC has $15m in coverage what happens if someone uses the farmer? Short term what does farmer have to invest to fight suit or could there even been charges? This day and age it’s a crazy world
  2. The limited trails and loops will be like the 401 during rush hour.
  3. Spare parts and shipping are going to be big hurdles for spoiled consumers who are accustomed to immediate satisfaction. Calling a dealer to order overnight from parts warehouse is a thing of the past in many cases. A simple overnight order is now 2-3 days longer. And if coming from overseas it could be 3-7 days extra. Local John Deere dealer told me their rush orders are 2 to 3 weeks.
  4. I would expect spring order programs will be scaled back. And there will be production issues in the future for sure. It is going to be a tough couple years too come.
  5. Where does the 12-15% come from? What justification do manufacturers have for that substantial of an increase?
  6. Did you mean Spring order or Spring Delivery? I can see then March deliveries bailing
  7. You may be right about a smaller lower powered machine. Bring back 340 and 500cc sleds. They will sell.
  8. Do they really want to sell or just posting stupid adds and if someone offers a big buck maybe they take? Or looking for a rich kid with more money then brains.
  9. Things are only going to get worse.
  10. How will this seasons Spring order programs be effected? Will manufacturers Cut off Spring orders earlier?
  11. I have a 2020 Switchback XCR 850 with 4,000miles and also a 2020 Switchback Assault 800 with 2,000miles. Both have PIDD. Both studded. Both with Warranty remaining. With no snow down south I do not need 2 sleds right now and would be willing to trade one plus cash for the right 2020 Polaris Spring Order Sled. I fully intend to have 2 sleds in my trailer this winter. I am not outright selling a sled. I could easily do that on Kijiji. I am happy to keep both my sleds. I am just offering up for anyone on this forum stuck without a sled for a early trip if they are desperate and need one.
  12. They are great off trail. And surprisingly good on trail for the size.
  13. 04nightfire how do you like the Titan?
  14. We have become such a drama society! 6cms of snow becomes an winter storm warning with Red highlights. Big panic for people. And at my house in Milton I never saw a flake on the ground.
  15. I recently sold a sled that I had ordered a permit for. The permit will be applied to my new sled. So technically When I stick the permit on my new sled technically I should also pay $15 and change sled listed on my permit paperwork?
  16. Provincially maybe but border crossing is Federal regulated.
  17. It’s frustrating having that one guy. When we had one guy show up with a can it was a brand new sled. Not even broken in. And I believe dealer installed in Ontario. I know a lot of the cool crowd believe in their right to ride with a can but I believe trail permit should be revoked if caught. Make it part of the education video. If your caught on trails with a can you are fined and pass is pulled. End of story. And caught with no pass and a can we burn your machine on the spot.
  18. Nope. The way it should be. Why let the actions of one impact all riders enjoyment?
  19. I believe a lot of Quebec permit holders are also more stringent that everyone they ride with has a permit. I have ridden with 2 different groups and the Quebec permitted sled riders always made sure we had our 3 days or 1 day. They also cringed and were a little pissed when one guy had a can on his sled.
  20. You can ride in Quebec and not get stopped also. In 3 trips only ever stopped once and they did not check paperwork or look for temporary passes. It was more social at an intersection. Quebec is also very strict on aftermarket exhaust. $1,000 fine and a tow truck home
  21. Let them out? should be buy them out!
  22. Dealers have waiting lists of guys begging for sleds. 60 - 70 names. Sure maybe same 70 names at 5 dealers but how many people are going to walk away from spring order if they currently have a 2 or 3 year old sled and can sell it for top used dollar when their new comes in? Bottom line I think is weather will dictate many peoples decisions in Feb and March. Might be a good year to sell everything in January and take a Florida trip. Just keep all the cash handy for spring purchases.
  23. Should be an interesting year. A lot of new and young inexperienced sledders on big power machines. Might be a lot of wrecks. Heard the atv season had a lot of damaged units. I am really surprised that the market has stayed as strong as it has. At some point some or a lot of guys are going to get bit buying high dollar used and the market dropping. There will be some good deals eventually.
  24. I didn’t say my plans would change but wondered if for others it will? i am looking forward to a great winter. I have a large number of customers who are sledders. And most think a mid week trip is best. How can you beat riding for work?
  25. I really wonder how it will impact the younger riders. The $5 - 10,000 used market riders. The ones on tighter budgets. For some one there is a limit to the cash they can throw at a sport. I will not change my riding plans most likely. A good buddy has a new place in South River area so for me I can leave my trailer there if I want.
