  1. Unfortunately far too many people are too stupid to realize they are being bought with their grandkids money. At some point this spending will have to be paid for. Enjoy sledding now because it will be under a luxury tax in the future like you have never seen.
  2. Half yellow this morning.

    Helmets.

Picked up my new CKX Mission from Rousseau Road today. Added a pair of snowtrackers on to the order also. Great service and great pricing. Thank you for recommendations. Now to fit, ride and enjoy.
  4. Whatever any one does I hope they are considerate to officers who are doing there job. If the officers are instructed to be sitting there checking cars or looking for sleds that’s what they must do. The officers may not agree with the policy or their duty for the day but have to do the job they are instructed to do. I, like others wish there was more enforcement for trail passes, closed trails and off trail riding but being realistic are OPP going to sit in bushes around every farmers field and try to catch the few? And if you are one of the lucky ones to get a ticket riding a sled in Kearney or on closed section whose fault is it?
  5. So how often do you grease your Tippet axles? My new trailer manual says every 12 months or 36,000km. My previous trailer with Dexter axles was easy. Once a season pump through new grease. I guess on this new trailer i should actually take a cap a cap off and inspect the hubs. What’s amazing is I know people that do not grease RV hubs and tow 10 times farther then most sled trailers will ever travel and in warmer temperatures.
  6. What is price comparison between top of line Ontario built and USA built? All use same axles and aluminum side panels by looks of pictures.
  7. Aren’t you Retired from first career and working on second one?
  8. The sad part is our government knew that after the first 2 flights arrived full of Covid that the 3rd flight would be full of Covid and did nothing to protect Canadians and allowed the 3rd flight to take even off from Haiti. The airline should be banned from Canadian airspace for transmitting Covid to Canadians. Pilots should be charged along with all managers who allowed the flight to happen. In my mind this is no different thenthe couple that were charged for spreading Covid after knowingly having a party with the British traveller who did not do 14 day quarantine. Either Covid is serious or it’s not and in my mind our government has shown how serious an issue they believe it to be by allowing a 3rd covidinfectedflight from Hati. our empty ICU departments will be needed for the new Covid positive hati refugees!
  9. One of the guys in Kearney area said OPP told them there is no charge that can be laid for a snowmobiler with a valid pass riding on open OFSC trails. If trails are yellow and green you are asked to follow the recommendation not to travel to ride but it is not a law that you can be charged for breaking. So they were told or interpreted the conversation with an OPP officer.
  10. I heard from a friend today that says the Emsdale info center parking lot was packed. Maybe 20 pick ups and also cars carry single occupants meeting trucks and trailers. Trails were busy lots of traffic. My friend stopped and talked with a couple groups of people out walking. All of them were of opinion trails should not be closed. XTR in Sundridge does not want to see trails closed. One local said the locals will still be out riding trails. OPP previously really had nothing to charge anyone from out of town riding before the Health shutdown tonite. No law was being broken. That might be changed now? I don’t know. It was a beautiful day on trails. 254kms of exercise and stress relief.
  11. I can understand your view point. That inconsiderate lake formed in the big open hole in front of the subdivision and towns that surrounded that big open deep hole so we should now restrict the public access to special times because all the houses were built around this big hole in the ground long before it filled with water.
  12. When Charlie Angus gives up his paycheck and pension then maybe the motels will look at things different. But empty rooms still need heat and gas and hydro costs big bucks.
  13. Has the North Bay healthy unit requested the Amazon warehouse in Toronto stops shipping packages as the drivers may carry Covid?
  14. Kijiji prices are going to the bottom fast I would expect. Get your our cash ready if your a gambling man as bargains are coming.
  15. It’s no wonder the northern towns want to stop the traffic north as the flights are still arriving daily with infected passengers. So the government allows the spread spread of Covid into the country and then has other government shutdown our freedoms. It is hard no to believe there is social engineering going on here.
  16. What a crock! How many cases have been transmitted by snowmobilers? Numbers? Even a guess?
  17. There are a few trails left but down significantly from years ago.

    PARKING

What parking is available around Kearney area? Looking at day ride on Wednesday.
  21. Are the red trails not touched or groomed and marked red to discourage riding?
  22. You can’t blame the generation for doing what they are taught. Tim Hortons, McDonalds, starbucks and whatever fast food drive thrus cellphones with data we have to have for social media and now Uber Eats and Amazon. Spend your money faster then then you can think. when us old guys grew up we did not have all the conveniences.
