I should go back to a gas truck so I have somewhere to dump the regular. I never thought of buying regular after buying premium to get it all. I was was told by a Polaris mechanic about the leftover regular/ethanol fuel in the hose when buying premium. Polaris tech told me buy premium but leave the sled fuel selector on regular fuel and you will get max engine life. We need to go back to separate hoses for separate fuels.

How many times do you think Premium gets added to regular tanks or regular grade in premium?

Textron might see an opportunity. 130,000 sleds sold globally yearly. 100,000 sleds sold in North America. 4 manufacturers. If Textron has a new idea or twist for the sled market there is only 3 competitors to compete against. Might be a better or easier opportunity in sled market to gain / build business then in other markets. Or Maybe their EZ Go golf cart business and it’s electric capabilities will be flipped into ATV or sled line and they could perceive an advantage for future.

He was there for 6 years leading a few divisions. And he has a MBA. That’s all that is relevant now in this world.

43000 sleds sold in Canada is a lot of new sleds year after year. But also shows how small the industry really is.

A friend sells trailers and they are already being squeezed by the manufacturers on sled trailer orders for this fall. And delivery dates.

The regular permit buyer should clearly be informed. It’s no wonder the rumours fly around about who gets paid to groom or free sleds for people. How many of the 43,000sleds sold in 2020 were in Ontario? How many new sleds sold in 2021? How many ordered in Ontario in 2022?

How many trail permits were sold in 2021? With new sleds being sold out it should be a banner year in 2022 for permit sales and revenues.

There was nothing worse then someone jumping on your sled in the bush and priming it 5 times and then saying the junk won’t start. Then the hours spent trying to start. Our junk Moto Ski Supersonic was 1 -2 Prime only (I think) not a bunch. Boy did I love the Polaris choke when I got my first Polaris.

2022 will be a completely different season once mass vaccinations are completed. Possibly 2022 or 2023 will be the return to no restrictions if you look south of the border at how they are opening up. How much much is the shortfall? I have never been there but wanted to do a trip including a stop there.

Titan is a good all around sled and will surprise you on the trails. And when everyone else is stuck you can pull them out. Just don’t get stuck yourself or you better call another Titan.

You need to be able to clearly have vision down the sides of your rig past the back corners of your trailer. And more important If the cop can see you in your mirror from back corner of your trailer you should be good. They can’t see you. You can’t see them. Then you could get a ticket.

Don’t underestimate the Titan. It is a big machine but you can still ride it. And do everything else you need.

You mean a snowmobile can go off trail without a 3” paddle and turbo? I had a buddy growing up with a Tundra Long Track. 300cc I think. Go just about anywhere without a 3 foot deep trench. I mean you could follow in it’s tracks.

Buy a new 1500 and drive off the lot. Drive it for 6 months and let us know how you make out. After 6 months you will have paid approx $4500 off the loan on a $55,000 before tax ( $63,000 after tax ) truck. So you owe $58,500 on truck. Truck will be worth maybe $45,000 - 48,000 max on trade. Maybe you can save the taxes if trading in but You are upside down already. Right now trucks are hard to come by because of semi conductor shortage. But in 6 months will the market be flooded?

The depreciation kills on the 7 year or 8 year 0% deal. The owner is upside down on payments for years. Now for some people the long term financing can get them in a reliable new vehicle at lower payments. Sometimes you have to. I have been there.

Good practice if you can follow it. But the YouTube videos of a 165” long track doing a wheelie in 6” of snow are more appealing to the cool crowd then a kid sitting on a shitter reading the Wealthy Barber!.

We stayed a couple nights at the Chain of Lakes Motel. It’s 2 buildings over from the Super 8. Rooms were decent but dated. Bathrooms could use refreshing but it was clean and staff were nice. Trail was across highway and down the road about 150m. You could run the south ditch into town no different the Super 8. lots of parking I will book there again.
