Have the ETA/dates provided thus far been pretty accurate....or just a stab in the dark like everything else now a days?
-
Good news! Very odd on the 1+1 seat, but just shows you how messed up things are, there is some hope that anything can happen and show up at any time. I myself am waiting on my 1+1 seat and was told Jan if I recall.....its all paid for, just need to pick up when it decides to arrive!
-
Are you waiting on the kimpex bag or a different setup?
-
I’m looking at those as well, but what I like about this one is the option to have it compacted most of the time than expand for trips. I’m not liking having a large bag back there all the time. Other considerations is a soft type of bag that is not as bulky but expands to your needs…. kind of like the one Turbodoo has. A bag that can be securely attached is another bonus. Next hurtle is once I decide on one, does anyone actually have it !
-
Yes please. I’m interested to know if the bag in its expanded form could be used for a week saddle back trip. By the sounds of it, in its compacted mode, it has more than enough room to carry day ride stuff…spare gloves, tools, rags, rope, etc….

What is the adventure 22L tunnel bag like when fully expanded? Looking at options to buy something and I kind of like this one.....I can use when compacted for just day rides for the stuff I usually like to carry & it is not that big or bulky for that purpose, and than it expands for possible saddle bag trip use....depending on the size of it of course.

Ya, my DD was flawless - just so many others that seem to have issues, but you know how it is, only bad news on the interwebs..... I never had the Barney, just rode a couple as well a few guys had them that I rode with back than - reverse failure resulted in towing that one ton tank out..... Maybe the 144 track improved things in the floating department, I recall my sled would float across some deeper fresh snow and the Barney that followed just sank in it.....but it had the shorter track.

Only one item of mine is B/O....the 1+1 seat. I am thinking I will run the stock shield this year to see how I feel and maybe do the medium next week. I need to figure our some luggage as well. @Turbo Doo I recall you posted the bag you use, I think it was a soft style of LinQ bag, mind posting info again?
-
Is the medium you are referring to, part # 860201258.....that is 3" higher than the stock windshield that comes on my X?

Ski-Doo Accessories Blow-Out!
stoney replied to livin' on the b103's topic in Buy & Sell Classifieds
LOL....all the drama that a sledding forum brings! -
I think about them, especially when people bring up the topic, but I just cannot see myself liking the fit of one at all.....I absolutely hate being restricted.

You are correct - I just went back and the edit feature is in fact now gone.....very strange... -
Just the DD and reverse servo were prone to cause issues.......and stay out of the deeper snow, tank sank like a rock....LOL !

That is quite the collection - good luck! Edit: And to edit post you click the three dots on the top right corner of post, select edit and off you go - I just did and it works! -
Come on, stay positive now.

Yes, Seguin is usually pretty good.....but if I remember, the route did not use it much, likely to try and stay away from the busier areas. It was always a fun poker run, good group and the route was not bad, just lots of carbides clanging off of rocks.
-
Used to do a poker run that was based at the Jolly.....not sure how many years we did it, but I recall that we had one year that had really good conditions, all others were less than ideal (for my liking that is), the terrain around there is so rocky and needs lots of snow. Otherwise drove my the Jolly a few weeks ago and noticed the signage change - thought to myself that is a really good sign!
-
Oh ya, bought my first Ski-Doo apparel today too - a toque! Actually, I forgot, I have an old modular Doo helmet that I bought about 15 years ago......

The dealer I bought from has quite a few new all assembled units in the showroom waiting for their buyers. I did not see any with missing shocks or gauges, however the Mach they have there is missing an ecu and that is it (I inquired). Makes we wonder how many of the sleds are guys like me that just assumed sled was not in yet, not bugging the dealer based on all the reports you are reading and once contact is made, you find out the sled is there & ready to go. Thought it was kind of odd they never called me to tell me it was ready, but not complaining at all. I asked the dealer how many they sold this year, he told me 200 units, usually have a dozen for the showroom, but of course not this year. I sure do feel extremely lucky to have mine when reading all the updates about many that do not. I really hope all that are waiting, get their rides soon!

So....what are people seeing with 2021/22 insurance rates..... I just added insurance to the new iron, not too bad, I was expecting worse. $680.00 full coverage for the year Still with TD - I did not shop around, could not be bothered. And for the record I was not on hold at all, other than having to listen to the prompts and selecting my choices....guy I talked to was extremely nice and good to deal with as well, heard all about his recent return from his BC vacation trip!
-
In talks with my brother who just moved to NB about a trip out East with a small group.....maybe start around Quebec City and head up to Chiboug or start around RDL and head to Gaspe. Otherwise, expect to ride around Dorset and surrounding area, Snowcrest territory,.....and I am sure some other places too. Hoping to take the kids with me on a few rides - just need the 1+1 seat to come in. And thankful my ride showed up - my brother was trying to convince me to still do the trip and I could ride his Barney.....really was not warming up to that idea all that much....
-
LOL....corruption at its finest! I remember at one point people were hiding their VIN number when parked seeing as the thought was a person could go to a certain person and get a key made with that info......but as far as I know, when a key is programmed for a vehicle the vehicle & ket in question needs to be within range of the computer/scanner at the dealership to program the key.
-
Even sleds with the old school key type of systems can be easily modified to allow a thief to take. The new sleds with a electronic type of key, just makes it harder..... So I cannot see how this situation would have any effects on how an Ins company will look at insuring sleds without a properly programmed Dess key for the time being.
-
Sure, but than I miss out on riding in an already short season.....rather make possible theft a little harder for the pieces of $hit,
-
LOL....one of the negative side effect of placing an order 10 months ago that only cost $500 to $1000 on something that you were pumped to have.....now reality might set in for a few....
