    Helmets.

Ya, I was not going to use my klim balaclava......planning to go back to the unwind one with this helmet. Thanks!
  2. I just purchased a few items from peakboys in QC - worked out well, zero issues. Easy peasy - but of course the true test is went something doesn’t go well and how the company handles it. Couldn’t agree more about Amazon - they have set the bar pretty high.
  3. We are still on track for our QC trip from Jan 30 to Feb 6 - all lodges/rooms are now booked at this point, now we just wait patiently for the trip and more snow to fall!
  4. Well, I am hopeful for a good outcome in a couple of weeks......in both provinces !
  5. ..... not enough tax base to cover the expense perhaps, kind of like BC ..... Or some funny business going on between the town and the body shop guys....
  6. Is not salting the roads a normal issue there..... Was up there a couple of weeks a go when grabbing helmet at Rosseau, we decided that we would drive to the island to check on my dads cottage since the wind storms.......slid down one hill and decided to stop braking so I could control my truck and just drove through a stop sign on that hill, luckily the lady sliding down the hill coming the other way was not coming at the exact same time as she slid down her hill. Then driving down rose point road there is a line up of vehicles because a 2 wheel drive truck could not get up the hill on a corner, another truck was just hooking up to pull him, decided to turn around and head back at that point.....a few other cars and minivans are spinning sideways going up the same hill once we turned around.
  7. That’s what I told her… eliminating the pawn will not solve the problem. Yet another sad, sad state of affairs.
  8. Just told my daughter this, her response was, can we fire Doug Ford…. Lol, this coming from a nine year old!
  9. It is not so much the price increase that would worry me, it is if there will be a repeat - order and have no sled until Feb 2023 perhaps....I have yet to hear a concrete answer on when these shortages will end. Maybe dealers will have plenty of non current 2022 waiting to sell for the next season. I think I was told I would not see a properly operating dess key until next year - which honestly I do not think Doo can actually guarantee that based on what is happening, that is just what they are saying for now given the environment. For sure there will be an increase though, just a matter of how much of one.
  10. If you bail, do you order a 2023 and hope for better results? Or perhaps wait a bit and see if there are deals on used or the non currents that may be sitting at dealers in the future? I think the lack of snow sort of helps remove some of the pressures that exist - flip side is if we had tons of snow and more trails opening, I think more people would be loosing their head.
  11. Positive side if there is one, the lakes may be able to get a chance to freeze up better. I was pretty sure the forecast for last night was low of around -13, however it is around -20 now.....this is a good thing!
  12. Listened to that the other day. I have younger kids and this course we’ve been on is so sad, stupid, disastrous, damaging….my kids aren’t doing too bad but many are and the one thing I never thought about until recently was the secondary kids that will not be getting their diploma as a result of this. I know the ones that are not overly motivated when it comes to education, but talk about stepping back what 30 years…. just absolutely stupid.
  13. So potentially closing down businesses but offering tax credit to encourage Ontarians to get out, support businesses….yep, par for the course…
  14. Only a sensible person wouldn’t get the jab….right. Honestly though, other than clients wanting to go out, dining out is no longer something we do. We used too each Friday dine out as a family, haven’t in a long time due to the sillinesses. Last year riding just meant more seat time vs waiting in restaurant, not so bad….sure saddle bag trip would be different of course.
  15. but, but, but…. the “vacinne” was the way to normalcy….
  16. Anyone know if the warm up shacks in QC were “closed” last year?
  17. Guessing before QC really tightened up the exhaust restrictions........but I am thinking the demographic that own property around the resort were also happy to see the trails gone regardless of loud exhaust.
  18. That is correct, 10PM - but that does not mean you need to be asleep. You can even walk your dog.....or work, as long as you have a piece of paper that states you are working...... Been dealing with getting work done in QC for the last year, during the curfew - no issues at all.
  19. Was told same thing when we went - not sled friendly at all. Restaurant we ate at, at the base of the hill was fantastic though!
  20. A place just West of that, that we stayed at the other year was La Rabaska, it is not a 5 star by any means, but a real nice lodge, good food, great hospitality - would go there again without a doubt. Mekoos is not that far away either. I just do not know if the snow they have now is the same as north east of Tremblant where you were. The one time we did ride around Tremblant (South side), the conditions were not very good.
  21. I have not talked to by brother about this yet, but I would love to head out east again later in Feb - maybe towards Gaspe or ride the North part of NB.
  22. I was wondering the same thing! You left out the most important part
  23. Making, or going to attempt to make reservations tomorrow or the day after for a trip in QC for the first week in Feb. We are meeting up with my brother who is in NB now so the mid point is around Shawinigan and head up around Lake Saint-Jean, through Mont-Valin over to St Lawrence and than back to Shawinigan. Originally planning to go to Chiboug, but with the no gas heading up the East side (thanks @PISTON LAKE CRUISER), that is no longer an option. Optimistic that all goes as planned. Otherwise, cannot wait to get out somewhat locally first if possible and would like to go further North (ON) as well.
