  1. April must have been a great month for you, for so many reasons considering - great news on the positive outcome of a bad accident. What sort of a miracle happened in order for the prognosis to change? Enjoy the year, hopefully you can return to your pre-injury km's - looks like you were a high mile'r!
  2. What cam's are you using - I am sure you posted in one of the other camera pic threads, but have not looked?
  3. Not ontario, but there are trails in QC same distance with no fuel or shelter, and they make it work….so I’m sure it’s doable, just might not be doable to ride for some.
  4. Based on details In the thread just a few posts down, it seems there are questions surrounding what the plan will be and if sleds can make it without fuel.
  5. Good, so it was not just me imagining all these messages…lol
  6. I am not a big TV watcher, especially news.....but for a period there earlier this year I was hearing it quite frequently on the radio, what I listen to the most and where I would hear about this, I even think it was mentioned on here, Kerry Schmidt was talking about, I am sure there were bill boards too, etc.....so to me, it seemed hard to overlook. As for stating specifically for your sled, I would ask that question, why would you not need it??? It is not as though they did away with the sticker, just the fees associated with the sticker for most vehicles. Than as mentioned above the effort to educate people about the changes made and just because it is free, plus you may have received a credit, does not mean you still do not need the actual sticker moving forward.. As I mentioned, I actually received a notice as well for one of my vehicles too. When I log on to renew my plates, I can enter all the vehicles that I would normally buy stickers for and procced as required - two I order / buy online and the other I need to go into the service Ontario office for. I am not suggesting the government always does things the most sensibly, but I find people tend to spend a great deal of time and effort on looking the other way just because vs. using a little common sense or putting effort into something actually productive.
  7. Thanks PLC for the update, greatly appreciated 👍.
  8. I received one too a little while ago, but just for one vehicle oddly enough…my truck that can’t be done online, which is too bad, so going to service Ontario this week for that.
  9. Wow, that makes no sense about sled and atv’s….but when you register any of your vehicles, you’ll find that out…..lol
  10. How many people have sleds and no vehicle that requires either free registration, that you still need to renew or paid registration….I think most when they do one they will do the other and see you need to and pay. Did my vehicles just the other day. 1 = free 2 = paid With all the government advertising, not sure how you get a pass on that now if you haven’t done it…jmo.
  11. Neve mind sled, could I!
  12. Received my permit today - ordered on Oct 27 in the evening. My permit number is 034525. Just for ref - for those playing in the OFSC lottery game.....lol
  13. Honestly, if push came to shove I think I would just buy the fuel caddy - I can add to my sled I think fairly easy, might need two based on the adventure bag I have though. The other guys would need to consider something too. But knowing the fuel was open before, not sure for how many years though, and it only closed when Covid started - I am thinking they will return to offering it?!?!? Looking at the trail map, I assume the fuel was offered right where the trail passes through there yard??? FCMQ_ 2021-22 Snowmobile Map.pdf
  14. Yep, I remember you had quite the tracking system for your rides - looks like 203 is your highest distance if I read the excel correctly, when I assume the sled was still new.
  15. I think the longest run on a single tank that I did last year was up trail 83 from Relais 22 to Jardin, about 160/170km - I do not recall how much gas I put into the sled, I kind of wish I did though...... I do not think I could get 195km on mine with a full tank unless I changed the mode and adjusted my riding style perhaps. So with the fuel caddy, you would be good up 93 loaded and decent conditions.....now will the rest of the group be good.... I am hoping I or someone hears soon if there will be gas up 93 this year - would really like to do the loop.
  16. Is that with using the fuel caddy you carry? I don’t think your making the 239km from gas stop to gas stop on 93 with just a full tank of gas in the sled. I don’t want to find out either…lol
  17. Anyone happen to know yet if I think it was the mill along QC trail 93 (hwy 167) between Chiboug and Lake Saint-Jean area will be selling gas this year? @PISTON LAKE CRUISER perhaps you know???
  18. Just checked the videos out of NB and a few others. https://www.youtube.com/user/ApexLTX56/videos
  19. By all in, does that also include dinner and breakfast as well a fee to park your truck and trailer while you are away for a week?
  20. Sounds about perfect than for a new large Canadian family or families coming here and starting a business in a town North of the city!
  21. I noticed that last year as well based on my brothers reports - tons of snow one week and than rain and major thaw the next week. Actually caused an accident for him and his neighbour when the trails had a wash out from the rain and thaw on a trail they just rode that was in great shape. Ontario is not the only place with drastic swings during our winter wonderland season.
  22. You mean deal maker The chaser would be nice for sure to make your travels easier. Planning makes sense, or I guess not having too. Planning a NB trip this year myself since my brother moved there a year ago and he now has one year of riding in this area under his belt, which by all accounts sounds like a great riding area….seems to be a lot of older sleds there on the trails vs. the amount of new iron you see around our backyard.
  23. I am curious, seeing as most here are seasoned riders, what is the advantage of booking with a tour company, like the one in NB? I understand the need of course for say a trip to Moosonee given its location & terrain or a trip out West in the mountains.
  24. Not sure how to go back into permit purchase, just looked. I can log in to edit my info or add new sled, nothing else. I guess I’ll wait until my little green ticket arrives and see what the number is.
  25. Seems like a low number, doesn’t it? Still a few more days for the last minute rush to purchase though. I didn’t see any sort of sequence number when I ordered mine the other day - maybe I missed it in the transaction.
