  1. Check out the guy snowblowing the roof off of the buildings…..escalator lifted unit onto roof, might be breaking some H&S rules…..
  2. Another great day on the trails. Woke up to fresh snow at Hostel from km 31….,not sure how much, maybe 6 inches or so. Heading to next stop at the St Laurence…arrived short while ago - short run today. Not many pictures…. But the BRP app works awesome, highly recommend using it, but means my phone is tied up with my glove box and too lazy to remove it.
  3. Where there you go … I was close ….
  4. The number of the off trail sleds you see and tracks leading to who knows where is pretty cool. Trucks and sleds decks with mountain machines makes you feel like you are out west. The land all around here sounds like it’s owned or controlled by a government body….every one leases the land on the “mountains” is what I’m told. Riding around or through mont Valin today was a great ride - so much off trail trails through the hills….and the two massive trail groomers we passed was pretty neat, big units with some massive drags.
  5. Best run today from north end of lake saint Jean to just south of mont-valin. some pictures from today.
  6. Has anyone else rode your sled to see what they thought of the steering? Maybe power steering is what you need.
  7. Yep, agree with set up that works for you…. only challenge is what works for most conditions you will encounter. The 900 Turbo works really well though!!
  8. I thought I read on their website they sell gas but no liquor license.
  9. I agree with you on this for sure. I’m adjusting both front skid shock and front springs….separately of course. I had front skid shock pretty loose and looking for more bite, so started increasing front spring pressure. Plus honestly, I just like adjusting things, very seldom leave things alone….usually just small changes though. Changing conditions is bigger factor, but that’s where the quick adjust options can be very nice to have….that I didn’t opt for!
  10. We were talking about 3 bears camp last night and wondered about its status, sounds like it’s back up and running - good news, was always a favorite spot to stay.
  11. Nice report 👍 The 900T-R really does work well, it is a really nice & fun trail sled. It’s crazy how fast you can run through the trails on this sled. The exhaust note is definitely throatier. Finally able to run some more wide open trails and stretch her legs. I think I now have my from shock springs set at around 2.5….still looking for that right balance of bite but not too hard to steer. One thing I really noticed today was how loud my skid is with all the ice and snow built up in there and the tunnel….sure would be nice to be able too thaw it out.
  12. Lol, we found it that way, but I closed and latched it shut. Warm up shack was super warm…. Little oil burner doing a great job.
  13. Oh, just realized there was a Yami in the picture with a generator, booster and heat gun going this morning getting her running Owner of the lodge was helping the guys out.
  14. Stayed last night at the Le Relais 22 Milles inc. An extremely hospitable place…. basic from an accommodation standpoint though. The owners son treated all the guests to some singing, banjo and guitar playing at the bar - it was a very “normal” night out…. great times. Todays ride was great as well, landed at Hotel du Jardin for the night.
  15. When I was driving to QC on Sat, there were three fully loading transport trucks heading west bound full of ski Doo crates that I passed.
  16. For those wondering about “Covid rules”, zero issues here with staying in rooms with people not from your same household.
  17. Arrived at Shawinigan a few hours ago, eating some pizza, drinking some beers and watching the snow fall/blow while having a few laughs.
  18. Just in time for maybe some open trails!
  19. You finally bought that truck............
  20. More beautiful white gold. Nice pictures again!
  21. See, all circles back to the DESS😁. Just kidding though. …
  22. I recall the starters were problematic on the Cats - my old sled had one, it did the same thing, thought it was a battery and just went and bought a new one, but nope, it was the starter. They are a PITA to get too and work on, so I never replaced it, pulling the sled over was not an issue for me, having a starter that worked was just a bonus, that I never got to enjoy.

    Helmets.

Thanks for sharing and wishing you a successful road to recovery. Another thing I frequently use ladders for are trimming my trees, doesn’t take much for this to happen. 20 feet doesn’t sound like much, but it is on a ladder while handling a saw. I have one tree that needs to come down, but I’ll be renting a boom lift for that one when I’m ready.

    Helmets.

That sucks to hear - hopefully you will be able to fully recover. Do you mind me asking the details surrounding the fall and the injury? Was it a far fall or just the way you landed or what you landed on perhaps. I am up and down a ladder at home fairly often doing various things - could always have a fall myself that could be worse than you expect.
