  1. Looked like four new kids/beginner sleds, 120, 200 4-strokes and 2 x NEO (trail & mountain) with two 2-stroke engine options. 850 now pushing 180hp too......mountain segment only I beleive.
  2. Yep, silicone spray….not perfect but helps with frozen seals. When the other parts freeze, not sure….maybe deicer in a large bulk size, washer fluid might be a good alternative though.
  3. Come on, what is the difference between going down a road at 100KM or down a trail ......... ....... .... It is nice however that people have the option though given the situation.
  4. Other than my first lake pull in the forest with less the 100 miles on her, I haven’t really paid much attention to rpm at WOT…but my first pull I saw it hit 7900. Otherwise, she pulls hard in the trails. Last lake run I did we were running in about 8” of snow and slush with a skid full of ice and snow, so not ideal conditions.
  5. Oh, me too….but I figured it would more easily hit the higher marks, but 90+ percent of my riding is not there so not a huge deal. SS sure do seem to be a home run.
  6. That would be a good thing. I love the pull of mine corner to corner or on the highway like trails, but the wall it hits above 100mph is not what I was expecting. Not that I typically want to run over a 100 often or for long, but it should not struggle to do so. So for sure a welcome update 👍 !
  7. The road is also open & maintained now. That inlet of Simcoe usually freezes about as fast as Cooks bay does......but the ferry running back & fourth does not help of course.
  8. With the MY22 that is still fresh in peoples minds and what seems like a challenging year for many, I wonder how much hype there will be for the MY23 line up. Doo & Poo definitely had some road bumps to deal with, and still are. Makes you wonder if they try to keep things simple while everyone navigates the way things still are and hold out for any big releases/updates until things get closet to back to normal. Kudos to you for being excited and pumped !
  9. I did find it odd that a dealer I drove by seems to have alt more Ram trucks now than in a while.
  10. Yep, I used to live or put a big emphasis to get the miles on as well each and every ride or weekend I was out - the more the better, the last little while, I just enjoy getting out, no longer focus on the miles, just the enjoyment that it brings being out.
  11. Ya, I get that - it can be a challenging sport to stay active in. As for the Poo.....you brought that on your self......
  12. LOL....you used to be a sledder - what happened to ya
  13. Might get a chance to test out my new FXR floater jacket.......kidding of course, I have no desire to test it out, ever!
  14. Who you calling heavy....lol Crappy couple of days next week in the forecast with warm and rain.....
  15. I have ran Simcoe a fair amount in the past being 5 minutes down the road from it (Soldiers Bay), used to be at least a weekly destination spot, and you are correct, pressure cracks are a big safety factor that change at the flip of a switch, thankfully they are typically consistently in the same location year after year. I have not ran Simcoe as often I used too and tend to stay in the Cooks bay area as I usually just take my kids out there now......and Simcoe has not been no where near as consistent as it used to be for freezing with our crappy winters, so now have some doubts about heading North of Cooks bay, so figured I would ask those that have ventured across it for some feedback.
  16. Thanks Kyle - and seems to have increased this week from what I’ve seen from the shores.
  17. Anyone been across the lake from the south end of Simcoe along the west side to hop on B112B…any issues or concerns to make note of?
  18. I have one hanging in my garage that I rarely use, but nice to have when needed. I installed an eyelet in the support LVL beam that I use to lift up my sled when required for some activities.
  19. Usually room if you are there early - later you arrive, the fuller it gets. People just need to park sensibly and consider others trucks and trailer. There are other lots to use as well if this one is full. It is just off #11 down the road - very easy to get too.

    Helmets.

Open at first as having some fresh air come in is what I wanted & like, it was not until I noticed the cold air causing my eyes to water and wind burn just under my eyes, I than closed them and noticed some ice built up on them - not really an issue, just an observation....I was trying to see if it was them causing the air leak around my eyes, which I was pretty sure was not.
  21. They all have them in the rear storage seat compartment - special gift for buying one......
