  1. I actually can't imagine in my place of work, "making up" such projection models, failing so miserably with them, and still be employed. Only in the government can this happen.
  2. One of the worst sounds ever - but still better than the sound of drowning....:). Be safe guys.
  3. Nope. I know a total of 6 people who have caught it. Family #1 - Best man at my wedding - caught it through a "spin" class - had no symptoms - was told to get tested due to outbreak - tested positive. 2 daughters - then tested positive - Wife negative - never tested positive. No one had a single symptom or got sick at all - no test - no idea. Family #2 - Groomsman in my wedding party - family of 4 - were alerted due to a positive close contact - 3 of the 4 of them tested positive - zero symptoms - zero illness - youngest never got a positive result - again, no test, no idea. That's it for me so far. My son was skating 12 hours a week with 20 kids each hour, through 3 different PHU's, - 0 cases from September until December 23 when they were shut down, - he also was going school 5 days a week, 1 case in his school from Sep to Christmas break - was a teacher. This whole thing is very very irritating.
  4. Yeah, but from the looks of things - not charged with what they should be.........
  5. That looks amazing guys/gals, great work and THANK YOU for doing what you do. If all goes well - Feb 10 - I will get a chance to ride and enjoy your hard work. Cheers,
  6. Yup, i.e. - we don't care - welcome - but please - do the right thing and isolate for the first 14 days you are here - please and thank you. Clowns
  7. Well, here is the magic line right here folks - you can kiss anything and everything you actually really enjoy good bye for a long time, maybe forever. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/covid-19-ontario-january-28-2021-modelling-update-1.5891378 "Sustained high testing volumes will be important to control of the pandemic," the report says. #1. Government has had 0 control of anything other than it's people since this started #2. Sustained testing volumes - does nothing more than for you to use the data to ruin other peoples lives and spread fear to keep people down - that's it- that's all. end of rant.
  8. I am stilly wearing 10 year old Polaris leather gloves - they are past their expiry date, but I can't find anything remotely close to as comfy as them
  9. Sorry, but have you ever listened to our Prime Minister speak? or noticed what's going on around this country?
  10. Good to know. Once the "stay at home" is lifted, I am heading up.
  11. Hey, if you go making sense or using common sense, you're labelled a covidiot. In my view, Idiots are running the show here.......
  12. Will any lakes get staked this year?
  13. You are right on with this - but it's not only with snowmobiling, it's the same with a lot of things. I have kids aged 14 and 11 now - life is different than when I was those ages - as it should be to be honest. As they say, "times change" - things change, and if you don't get ahead of it as a business and adapt - ( let's face it - that's what sledding is - organized trail riding - you're selling a product ), you may not survive. I'm sure the kids don't want to sit and listen to a Kansas record either........ ( don't blame them ). Thing is, kids are also too young and naive to truly understand the bigger picture and for sure some don't care, but to be fair, some simply do not understand either - they're kids - they're not yet thinking like adults and doing all adulty things. If they're teenagers, they're still blowing their money on sleds instead of saving for school or a house - is that smart? depends.......... I don't know what the answer is - but all we can do is keep putting the message out and ride when/where you can - life's short. This is a crazy thought - but maybe a mandatory annual on-line test/tutorial as part of receiving your pass could be implemented - where you could bring those keys areas of importance front and centre - an annual reminder - have landowners put little videos together - farmers with their crops etc. etc. - showing the results of those decisions, at least at the start of every season, it's something to watch, listen to and have that reminder as your message, maybe that might trigger the brain? I don't know, anyway, rant over
  14. We are our own worst enemy. Is there a large population of sledders who are unable to read or comprehend?
  15. In the Steel City, we got hit decently - most we've had all year.
  16. Stoney, people have had it, I know businesses that are "closed" that are open, there is zero risk and zero consequences to them - fine them - who cares, not paying, close them - who cares, we're going out of business anyway. People are done with this.
  17. Yup, there is a very large group of people with very deep pockets and power of their own coming into this - it's about time.
  18. It's coming Ontario - people have had enough. https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/sports/2021/01/23/youth-hockey-leagues-sue-nys-over-covid-19-restrictions
  19. Especially now with all the "new variant" horseshit going on. I am really exhausted trying to deal with having everything except living in my house and eating having just been taken away at the stroke of one persons power - it's not sitting well with me and it's really pissing me off seeing the affect this is having on my children, our future..........
  20. https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90h07 Might be a worthwhile read and perhaps a consult to determine if in fact a PHU has authority to exercise over outdoor Crown land use. Like in every other thing in life, people with authority can say and do a lot things, that does not mean they are correct, have that ability, or that it's lawful. We have a court system process for a reason. Just something to consider.
  21. Has anyone looked to confirm that a local PHU has authority to make decisions over Crown Land? Don't the MNR oversee Crown Land?
  22. My son broke 2 $200.00 sticks on the rink two nights ago, so a $400.00 night ( one-timers are getting really good though That sucks, but it won't deter us from playing hockey. The trespass charge certainly will not deter a soul from doing trespassing - and the price of the permit remains the best value for anything I can think of.
  23. Hopefully the dogs are wearing masks and social distancing
