It can't be easy for any of them and I sympathize with all of them.
A lot of these businesses started through passion and really, to service small engines/motorsports - namely because of their own passion.
The industry, and more directly the "dealer" business model has morphed more into something like a car dealership than what it was and really should be.
All of these motorsports are fringe grass roots related activities, yet the corporate manufacturers can't help themselves and need growth, growth, growth, growth, enough is never enough. The manufacturers also only care so much - yes - they need dealers - like every drug manufacturer, they need a network to get their product out there, but they are large corporations that will bleed everything and everyone else dry before taking any responsibility themselves. Dealer closes - so what - another sucker will open up, take your forced units, pay us, pay the bank, take on a huge mortgage for an enormous building so you can sell our stuff.
None of this is unique of course, it happens in every line of business.
As a consumer, I can only control what and from who I buy from.
Good luck to those hanging on for the rest of us
