Only thing I can attribute the rise in diesel fuel to is, I bought my first diesel truck.  

Just have to put it in your head for the season that only the "extra" is extra. Yes, it's $40.00, but it's only $40.00 extra if your plans were to sit in the house and not go anywhere or do anything. You were likely going to spend something, and incur something.    

Don’t forget no trails in 2025 either!   Maybe the new OFSC president will help?

We were out today clearing a trail at the northeastern end of our trail system that hasn't been touched since the March 2025 Ice Storm. We had a great turnout having a crew of 9 guys!👍 So far so good with the volunteers and the price of fuel! We cleared about 7kms today which was great! The damage wasn't too bad. Locals must have cleaned up some of it. Had the chainsaw boys go first and clear the big stuff and the rest of us cleared the rest with pole saws, loppers, etc...   PLC. Just fyi, the travel to that area was 55kms one way for me. @ 20l/100kms for my truck towing, and fuel at $1.75l, I'm around $40 for the truck plus the ATV. 

when I bought my first diesel in ‘96, diesel fuel was 10-20% cheaper than gas. I remember regularly paying $.39/liter for diesel.  When they went to the Low sulfer variety, diesel was generally 10-20% more than gas.
