Is brp oil better? It's all made to a similar spec. 2 stroke oil pretty much two stroke oil. That shell oil was very good back in day too. My dealer out of Polaris oil now. I just switch over to shell for rest of season. 

To sum things up, we pay a crap-load for a new sled, with warranty, and the manufacture wants us to use a quality oil so they don't have to pay for un-necessary repairs?????  Don't really see a problem.   Within a few dollars, my BRP oil is  close to Canadian Tire stuff.

That makes more sense. That's not a bad price in season. Polaris stuff was 22 bucks a litre a few weeks ago. I bought some 25 percent off in fall. Watch for those sales. Etecs and Polaris all use same oil. I doubt there is much difference between brp brand and ves Polaris sells. It's all made by same company I bet. Back in day I ran all shell synthetic. It was great to pull up to a gas station and buy a litre and pour it in. I ran Yamaha, on it, Polaris on it and skidoo etec. Valves were always clean. I might switch Polaris over if dealers don't keep ves in stock.
