Could you imagine if RR was on here - he would be tearing you, or others to pieces, all while stating out the other side of his mouth that he supports the efforts....lol.
I do agree that has been and still needs to be some high level granularity level of consistent info shared with the permit buyers - that some will appreciate and others not so much.
That article that the intrepid sledder put out about some of the expenses/costs across the three provinces was informative - but you have to read it.
The amount of data and work load to compile all that info into one easy to read report for the public would be staggering, and not to mention the hard cost to do it. Like I've always said if a permit buyer was truly interested in the numbers they would be volunteering at the very least at the local level watching those numbers, along with District and OFSC numbers. None volunteers wouldn't have a clue what is or isn't an excessive expense for OFSC or District staff, shovels, groomer track cleats, fuel, groomer shed light bulbs ... ect. Because they have no idea of the day to day operations year round. You know as well as I do if the OFSC was able to even do it, it still wouldn't satisfy the naysayers. They would still make up something to bitch and moan and point fingers while dodging the real elephant in the room. Volunteering.
