Just home from the Forest (Thursday) This morning the roads were very good after the snow yesterday. Snow was dry not the good packing snow we received here in the south.  Did 196 km riding 90% roads. The actual  trails don’t have enough snow to fill in holes, cover rocks etc.  By 4:00 today some corners were getting snirty, gravel coming through and some icy spots.  By tomorrow night and Saturday lot of the roads are going to get worn out.  There isn’t much more snow there than there is here in the south.  So the typical first week conditions, just this year it’s Dec. 11 not Jan. 11   The Smokehouse was open. 

I do not think that I have ever witnessed that - I did not know they did not allow them, good for them! Hopefully the guys loading up did not just come from Windsor....that is a long haul.

The best is watching the one or two loading up the sled with the can at 8:30am after being refused entry!
