I'm currently running Cooper Discoverer AT#'s on my work truck. BFG AT's on my pretty truck. I find the Cooper's ride better, wear seems ok, not concerned about traction as I don't run either in the winter.
I buy what ever is cheap at the time I need to buy. Bought the Coopers on red tag clearance from Crappie Trash.
My buddy just bought a set of them China tires you see on Facebook. $1000 for 4- 12.50x35/20's. He says "why spend more? They balanced up nice and look great. "
We shall see how they last.
I have a buddy who owns a Repair shop and he swears by Toyo's. He says everything else is garbage these days. It's all he sells. Too steep for me though.
Great on road tire but, if he got stuck with the Toyo at2 (an all terrain tire), he will be stuck while using the Michelin LTX M/S (not a true all terrain, mostly a street use tire).
I know you say you dont like the Toyo's but, look at their AT3 offering. I put close to 55,000 on my Tacoma since 2020, with their at3, no complaints. Looking at replacing them now too. Also look into the Cooper Discoverer line, I have those on my Sierra 2500 and they have been great.
I have heard good things about the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 as well, they are 3 peak mountain snow rated too (great winter traction).
Good luck in your choice. Ski
