    • Red headed stepchild scenario for some clubs and high traffic trails getting needed or required or extra funding sounds like a better scenario then some nerdy geek looking at a computer screen with data from an iPhone app that the majority of sledders do not use and planning and cutting the entire groomer fleet and strategy off incorrect data!     I know a km of trail in northern Ontario is the same as one in Barrie or Burnt river or Port Perry.   All trails are equal!   Railbeds within 2 hours of Toronto that everyone flocks to as soon as there is snow should only be groomed 2 times per week correct?   That is the new way.  The app data shows it!     And I do attend meetings!   And I do my best to help out!
    • Agreed, but it would have to be district wide, or we'd likely end up with some Redheaded Stepchild scenarios with clubs that just don't have the resources to raise much outside funding.       Like I mentioned before. IMO the better plan would of been each District would only receive 75-80% of the usual provincial funding payments, how they used it within their district was up to their discretion. However there would be a clause in their about Districts using up at least 50-75% their surplus funds before they receive anything, if their District surplus was above a certain threshold. As the Districts with surpluses used them up,  the districts with lower than the surplus threshold amount would then receive equal portions of the un allotted provincial funding not doled out to the higher surplus Districts.
    • Hey Signfan   Looks like you're in Peterborough. I'm in the Lakefield area.   Let me know when you are available if you want to do a shorter run. A quick 200km is good with us. The 350-400kms runs are not as appealing as they once were...lol...  I can email you when we do plan to go out. Let me know.   Dan
    • I agree with you SKS. If clubs are willing/able to make it happen, they should be allowed to.
    • NWOSTA big loop has been on the to do list.  Bit of a drive, but maybe should make it happen this year.
