The post you quoted was from a year ago, the bridge was replaced over the Nagami river between Hornepayne and Hwy11 west and south of Hearst, this year. The ITG shows it is green, and open, I know of several groups that have taken the trail, there are no issues with that bridge at this time. They fully opened the trail the last week of January, first week of Feb. Just understand food is very limited in Hornepayne right now. Several different places take on the feeding of visitors, on different days. There is no daily full restaurant, make sure you call ahead to the Studio6 motel, they can help you organize food choices.
