I have watched ya’ll riding these past two months and I can’t take it anymore!
This is the first season in 21 years I have not been out on the trails.
I really need to get out for a ride. Kicker is I don’t have access to my sled (2022 Skiddoo 900 Ace)
I’ve looked up rentals. Not sure about borrowing?
I have all my complete gear and helmet.✅
My experiences over the 20 years include:
- barrel rolling, while skipping across the lake up north 🤕
- tipping F5 kitty back in the day oh so many times 🫣
- sat for 15 min on the iced up river, on border of Quebec in the dark alone (except coyotes) because my sled overheated and shut down, waiting for my partner to realize I wasn’t behind him🤣
- heavy Yamaha Vector bogging down in the ditch but what a sweet ride outside of ditches😁
- panicking at sudden stop in front of me, grabbing throttle instead of brakes and riding into my group of sleds (not a moment I was proud of) 🫣
- rode many ice hills, swamps, mud up to my knees (yes succesfully!)✅
- rode through a foot of slush across lake Muskoka (made it without stopping)✅
- ***!!! NOT looking for any more repeats of those experiences at my age now 🙏🏼🫢🙄
- I can easily ride 200+k day rides✅
- my dad is located on the Orillia 207 lakefront trail and my cousin is across from Carden✅✅
- I’m currently in KW (love the trails here) and willing to drive east, west or north Ontario to meet up.✅✅
-I would be a great accompaniment to ride with your wife and/or hang out with her while the guys did a power ride…whatever.
- oh ya I have attended OFSC AGM 3 times representing our club and I ran the local Snowmobile License course issuing licenses for a few years so I know the rules. I’m really not a bad driver to have along for the ride.
-we do have a couple more weeks right?
… Di (aka Snowgirlfx)
Interesting. Definitely more snow up there than in Mitchell.
Where did you drop off?
Maybe I will throw my sled in the trailer and head up on Friday for a short ride.
