Domino
Why is the OFSC promoting a site that is not dedicated to Ontario Snowmobiling, has a low membership count and high inactive count and requires registration to be manually approved by Jame from DigitalVideo.ca? I find it facinating that the OFSC snubs any forum that has opinions about the OFSC and refuses to comment. Yet they lead people to a site that will rarely help someone get a riding partner. Is the OFSC helping sledders or promoting a "friends" site so there friend may profit from the google ads? Ride Connection Looking for new riding companions or new trails to try? Wanna find someone who can join you for a weekday ride? There are many others just like you, so check out Ride Connection. Ride Connection is on a free forum site, http://www.forumotion.com/ so it cannot handle much traffic if needed.

LuvMyViper
Maybe it's because there's nobody knowledgable about the internet/forums at the OFSC and they get bad advice from someone... It makes no sense to me either.... Or maybe someone has pissed someone off.....

We should come up with some stuff and send a representative from this forum to speak at the next OFSC AGM....

They have round-robin DNS pointing to six different servers on two distinct networks. I bet it would give this site a run for its money. I wonder if the OFSC promotion means that they will be participating on that forum?

I bet it would give this site a run for its money. I wonder if the OFSC promotion means that they will be participating on that forum? My point was, that it is hosted on a free forum site. They never allow a lot of traffic. I wonder if the google crap ads are a requirement of the free site. Ontario Conditions has been providing Ride Connections since for 8-9 years now. Why would anyone create another site and the OFSC promote it in their latest email newsletter? The wasted efforts kill me. Just remember to visit rideconnections.ca for your trail reports, and Snowmobiling information in Ontario.

Mark Lang and company do one hell of a job supporting Ontario Snowmobiling and promoting it , and since that partnership exists that is why you find the Ride Connection forum supported.. http://www.ofsc.on.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=70&Itemid=87 http://www.snowmobilertv.com/ It is obvious to me Marty that yourself who is a valued Volunteer for your club and a asset to this forum , that your interested to take things to the next level .... I believe that this site is here for Ontario Snowmobilers. I have taken a great interest in trying make Ontario Conditions a fun, informative place to come and get Ontario Snowmobile Trail Conditions, Guidance from veteran sledders, and a meeting place. Much like I was able to 6 years ago. I believe that OFSC support for OC.com would be a service to more Ontario Snowmobilers. : right_on:
