Bring your food w you for the day!...if “these” places are so sought after... go there at the end of the riding day!... when it really counts!! It doesn't waste time if you are saddlebagging and have your days route planned. I will say that it is nice to get inside somewhere mid day if for no other reason than to have a warm break.

scottyr
I am fine with packing a sammich and eating it along the trail. I generally dont eat much throughout the day. We have a big breakfast and try to back to the hotel by 5pm.

When we have stopped for lunch in places like Bala they were packed and at times we just kept going rather than endure a long wait.
stoney
This is generally a big difference between stopping for lunch on a day trip around LOB, Dorset, G-hurst, Kearney, etc.....than stopping for lunch on a northern out of town trip where it is usually no where near as busy with sledders.
