DOM
Haven’t stayed in North Bay for a couple of years. Any recommendations with a hot tub other than the travelodge where you get blocked in by big rigs and they have no room to pile the snow!! like to try close to the lake

4mysled
we just stayed at the Best Western. right off the lake, has a pool, sauna and hot tub. Pretty good, and close to some good restaurants.
Big Pussy
If you stay on the lake, be prepared to crawl over the mogules to get to Trout lake.
Nunz
My advice would honestly be stay at the Dinner Bell in Bonfield or Cedar Gables, 20 minutes drive east and right on amazing trails.
bbakernbay
Nunz is absolutely correct about Dinner Bell and Cedar Gables. Right on the trail, great food on site, perfect location for multiple loops, beer, wine, liquor, Esso, Home Hardware and groceries nearby at Gagne’s. bbakernbay
Some great spots to visit if you are based at Cedar Gables or Dinner Bell on BF201. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nnta.ca%2Fimages%2FExplorers_Snow_Tour_Poster.jpg%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3vPLeQHY6ojCFa3zEqEluY5so-EfVROCEaohP-Rsxq6KIbSmmEZ9ZLFbw&h=AT0TUbfpmBTppSlcfHJE11yR5suG7s3i-JKuZZvZ1AzFaf-Do5ISxhJoviM4-_-4GYOA_itFbpKSzthTbP6vFj3gq5MzuwY_FmC21FSH5v2E-xlZ4UUmV5BGqNCMD5KntLiPI0Oa84Szm8rckcVrib9Fo7igDifkYYm6lr5l4n1VrsoeFt_JwEWzmEx8qK4XBTo0t6buEi-7Sk5Cf5uaiSMBQxLPiAECh6-gWdTJk-dYCyqa0Dej79b7_G4lX4trU_UU0xN87o6BSEk3iz-p2w_iJv4lPMZodKhkOisIPC2Akyopuq1UrxcH9krU_9MwsRjQlTARJOOUd3swQXGOR385mjXWV2poMzOcK7VsjY6XB_cteKckbDfAexakdPCMjXiT2mYL2JWN9ie-IgYn0uzMjWSLqwHIcuQ72gwaU5E-MIQVdO-8jz1_LsJ2zwTSxK-mR9d-NZySPEhkR6xbP05pow2tyLfYZZaTF443TSUZ7imfo5TKzD9ME7EgmNbmKv_R7jzuuK2rz00XYit9BG7bVXRgKGCXmf5UgSZ-iHR46jik5W6PFllX21GBHX-9Fvj5jfCJ6LhEJuYznDCJ3kUV_6XOy7YANecLFqfCp0A4UuoqATVnaHZpANTC1wc2

For sure, Wendy and Chris are great hosts and one of our Groomers is parked just down the road. If you have time, perhaps you could stop by our cottage and shovel the roof. GrizzlyGriff
Trailering. Overnighting at the airport Travelodge Thursday since CC full then. Dropping at CC in the am. Will have to drive up to arrive mid afternoon to hopefully avoid the freezing rain later on the day in North Bay. Hopefully the trails will be OK Friday

Hopefully the trails will be OK Friday If you are driving into CC it can be an issue at times as Songis Road from Redbridge General Store at Hwy 63 to CC can be a tricky drive with hills and curves if it is icy or snowing. Just something to be aware of depending on weather. Have you snowmobiled these Bonfield SC, Mattawa ASC and North Bay SC trails previously? Travelodge apparently were going to arrange to have it repaired but showing Red by SSRSC this morning.
GrizzlyGriff
I am pulling a double enclosed trailer with a 4 x4 f150. Hopefully OK? Just been around there on 3 rap tours over the years so do not know the area well
bbakernbay
Get District 11 Trail Map at Travelodge or Camp Conewango. For this loop, first check on NBSC website Spot GPS link as to when Groomer has left Camp Conewango area to groom A112A towards Mica Mine on way to Mattawa so you can have a great start or return. Other local clubs don’t offer this. Use the OFSC Trip Planner to get total Kms. From Camp Conewango Go North short distance On BF201 and bear right on A112A and continue to Mattawa and you cross Mattawa River. May want to print out detailed trail map for Mattawa town trail. Gas up and eat in Mattawa depending on your schedule. No snowmobiles allowed on sidewalk. If not then eat at Dinner Bell later in day. Leave Mattawa On A112A then Watch for right turn on TOP A trail towards Bonfield. Continue on A across short section of staked trail on Lake Nosbonsing then cross Highway 17 and shortly thereafter a right onto BF201 on pipeline. Lunch at Cedar Gables or Dinner Bell right on BF201. Continue on BF201 to Lake Talon and bomb up the staked trail back to Camp Conewango. Fairly long trip but worth it.

bbakernbay
The lakes may be an issue for lack of snow for lubrication, I haven’t heard from anyone out recently. Lakes Trout, Talon, Nosbonsing, Tomiko are great runs and not to be missed but stay on staked trails to avoid slush. The land trails are likely very hard too until they get some fresh snow. Today they did A112A to Mica Mine which may be an idea for Saturday morning. We have cottage on Talon, May have to get local guy to remove snow on the roof. have fun, be safe, some hanging branches I am told. Say hello to Wendy & Chris for me. Let us know what was good and not so good. Try a meal at The Dinner Bell, I recommend Date Squares! The dead end trail NB304 into Lookout off NB308 is worthwhile.
