PISTON LAKE CRUISER
Google groomer operator training. There are a couple of pretty good videos you will find that give some pretty good information.
Bigfish
Just do the course online, if you have been in a groomer before, it is a breeze.

Techdenis007
I took it a coupla years ago and passed no sweat, having never set foot in a groomer. DO have very limited experience in equipment though, which helps to have an understanding of how machinery works in general. Being a multi-line mechanic helps too .... A couple of years ago when we had lots of snow I was inspired that season and went to Timmies and got a bunch of gift cards that would cover a coffee and donut. I would give them to the groomer operators when I saw one on the trail.

Corners Guy
Course should be a no brainer now. When I took it a couple or few years ago the modules were completely messed up. Read first module then get questions from a different module. Then read the module for the questions you just answered! I don't believe the material exists anywhere online unless someone recorded their screen then posted that recording somewhere. Operating is what you make of it. By the end of my 10-12 hour all night run I am completely mentally exhausted. Every night I try to be better than the last. A small change in my drag height, how much snow I carry, when to come in and out of a corner.... Adjusting the blade, drag, speed and track controls all at once is multitasking to the extreme for sure. I've put in around 450-500 hours on the same trails since 2008-2009 and still feel there is room for improvement every single night. If you're going to groom, do it because you want to not because you have to.
