WTB - wood splitter

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a splitter...inexpensive if possible. I've got a 13hp honda sitting on the shelf so I'd love to find one needing a motor or at least some TLC. My budget is $6-800...if you have something let me know.

Thanks!

If you know anything about hydraulics you can pretty much build your own splitter, not really much too it.

I use to do that and then put in wedge in and hit it with sledge hammer. Worked, but wasn't super easy. Now I just rent a spliter when I need it. Middle of summer Is a good time and they reduce rental rates too. Still have wood left from a few years ago. Natural gas Is cheap now.
