  1. No way he is switching, same with sled junk. Yamaha forever like nunz is to Polaris.
  2. I dunno about that. All major cities are at risk because of senior homes. It won’t take much for north bay or Timmins or Hearst for hospitals to get over whelmed and into stage 2 for 28 days. I can see it being a nightmare from a logistics stand point. If connection trails do get closed, how will they even get re opened if snows and thaws and rains etc. Not liking this idea. They aren’t closing roads down linking communities so why do trails have to be disconnected.
  3. Sounds like a lot of if’s. Looks like a big loop is out of question, since if they do close some of connection trails you need to complete your ride, it would be a dangerous one, if trails blow in and not groomed any more. I can see some riders getting caught off guard this winter. Kind of disappointing this could happen and force us to ride in circles all over province. People are going to trailer to open areas anyways, and those parking lots will be packed with truck and trailers too. I guess every day we pick a different area and circle trail to ride.
  4. As long as trails are open and grooomed, I am going too.
  5. I always gave them vin too and whatever else they asked. Just left word viper out. it was still an sx Yamaha 700 . 800 a year that way or 2200 with viper as model. That was during the time it was hard to get insurance on certain models because of names. Mach, formula, vipers and a few others were on high insurance list that no one, but a fidelity insurance company would touch. It was ridiculous to be honest.
  6. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html That sums it up pretty much. Chance of getting it from an object is low I think. Actually wash your hands after touching mask too, since it may contain virus on outside via droplets from an effective person, while wearing mask.
  7. They groom for tourism. That is why trails got shut down last March. Otherwise they could have kept system open for locals with min once a week groom.
  8. Wait and see. If this thing goes down no grooming anyway’s. No tourists no trails ofsc made that message clear.
  9. Just saying. On my viper I had to insure it as a 700 cc Yamaha sx to get a decent rate. The second I mention word viper, they barely wanted to talk to me.
  10. Take word turbo off. That will help you out.
  11. So true. I don’t know what deal is with that but hopefully it changes. Frustrating free riders getting waved right thru, since they have Val tag and insurance and ownership.
  12. Why not just put tall windshield on, and put permit on it. I love tall windshield and see no reason to go back and forth really. Only time I regret having it, is tunnel on D trail in musoka. Blake give me directions to go around it on road. Other then that I love tall windshield.
  13. That’s good to know. Musoka is different even deerhurst or hidden valley resort wouldn’t do one nights. I called both places too. Might be hard to do rap tour this winter.
  14. When I called around for my musoka trip. Most places wanted a two night stay even mid week. My better half got sucked into working Friday night, so I could only do one night. Huntsville inn and suites let me book just Saturday night. One of few places that would do a single night, mostly because it was a suite room with a large king bed not in high demand from families I think. Going to be tough to find a place that will even agree to a one night stay. I think I won’t travel because if you do break down, you won’t be able to get last minute accomdations very easily either.
  15. I am strapping this to my sled this winter. Come in handy in my room. Very compact too.
  16. Always a wise guy eh Slomo. You must be starving for some pie by throwing out that bottom number. Thankfully, I get my fix every week and don’t have to dream about it no more!
  17. Getting virus from things or surfaces is difficult. Media is just scaring us. It is a mostly spread by breathing in droplets from an effective person, hence 2 meter distancing. I asked hotel in Huntsville what the protocol is. They said they had new and improved disinfectants, so they no longer have to let room set empty for 48 hours. Be interesting to hide a camera in one of rooms and see what kind of a cleaning job they are doing. Bottom line is as long as you sanitize your hands and wipe all tables off before you eat your meal, you are good. I bring my own cups and utilizes and plates etec. Don’t use coffee maker without running a disinfect thru it, too. I will be using my own products in room like I always do.
  18. Xs with 40L tank can get 300 km. I have a 2017 900 ace, grand touring se. In south range goes down with all road crossings. 225 is what I normally see in southern Ontario. 250 is a pretty good average on 40L tank. New one is 36, so you will lose about 40 km of range. Be good to find a left over or slightly used xs with 40L tank.
  19. Why not just put high windshield on it and be done. I always ride with high windshield even in warm temperatures. If it is too warm I stay home and do something else. Option one is too easy to steal, since they can take whole hood panel in a few seconds. Option 3 is best I think too.
  20. I figure you would say that. Long time tradition I know. Good to support local business, no doubt. Next wing night we can order a beer via take out window and you can put it in a plastic cup? We can enjoy it and wings out in parking lot or have part of parking lot designed off as outside eating area and put signs up no more then x amount of people? Great conditioning for us to be out in dark and cold to prepare for sled season.
  21. All new ones aren’t trail accessible. Almost like they don’t want snowmobiles. Huntsville same way with new hotels too.
  22. Looks 9305 is what they were at, end of September.
  23. I wonder where two went? I assume they are skipping even numbers this year then.
  24. What are some of numbers people are seeing on permits so far?
  25. X3. That is a great ride up F trail from Elliot lake. I did it once with my dad. One of my favourite trails in Ontario.
