  1. That’s what I was thinking or they will mix match them and make a Yamaha cat that is not as traceable.
  2. With ride Polaris ride command or brp go, is it possible to use smart phone to display ofsc app, on guage cluster as you ride? I know permission hasn’t been given just wondering if app would still work if rider bought it and has it on his or her phone and plugged into sled? This technology is exciting and I bet ofsc can use it in future to verify if sleds have trail permits while out riding too. Give each sled an unique number and colour green when on ontario permit is purchased. No permit then sled icon is red and you know where to send opp or police to catch free loaders or riders that choose to ride closed trails. I am sure riders wouldn’t trespass if they know they could be traced and fined after words. Great opportunity for ofsc and sled manufacturers and opp to work together and solve some of the issues that plague us.
  3. Great news. D trail will be intact this winter to ride north out of gravenhurst or is there still some land owner issues north of Bracebridge too?
  4. That’s too bad. It was a good year. Even my uncle in Oakville had a few feet of snow in December too, which is rare. Most dealers were sold out of sleds by Xmas that year. It will happen again.
  5. Wasn’t that rare would happen every three or so years. Usually get a ride or two in November in my fields and b102 was usually rideable around Xmas to New Years most years, main trail north.. After that real good winter of 2011 to 2012 I believe everything changed. That year our trails were open 10 weeks too and it was last year 95 percent of Great Lakes frooze over. Mid 80’s had dry spells for winter too. After that been a real crap show in south. See what happens. Good for trailer sales though.
  6. That’s true for most job sites. Our wood came in multiple deliveries too and we stored it all inside, mostly to keep it out of elements. Being in a remote location multiple drops in stages not practica for this job. Time to put up some trail camera’s and catch thieves. Really sad and frustrating for volunteers and clubs when this happens. Sequin is one key trail in area that I enjoy riding. Goes right past my uncles cottage. I texted him about wood and he heard it was stolen but has no idea who either. He lives near Mckeller on parry sound side.
  7. That is standard practice to drop materials at a site before work begins. Everyone does that at least one day, before work begins. Unfortunate this happens. Hopefully park to park has insurance and materials get replaced in time for volunteers to repair bridge.
  8. We use to get some November riding in, in south. Mostly ditches and fields. 2008 we we were trail riding in D5 first week of December. Trails were awesome right up to New Years that year.
  9. Time for a lawn aeration ride .
  10. My friend gets polar bear ones that come I. Drop 16” of sugar snow and then cold funnels in afterwards and swirls it all up. He is close to hay river in Alberta. So I was hoping we get something similar here, but it has been since I was 5, that we last had a blizzard here, that closed roads and snowed us in.
  11. I didn’t blame him slomo. After all everyone is proven innocent until proven otherwise. I would never buy hot wood. All my wood comes from proven suppliers via my builder, since he does work. I can write it off, so why would I want to pay cash for hot wood and support under ground. That makes absolutely no sense. By the way have you got the bridge in across creek yet or still awaiting decking boards?
  12. Yeah but did you look at long range forecast. Going to beach again on Friday high of 14 C
  13. Yeah has to be an inside job no doubt. Someone who would known time line and had a plan ahead of time to grab and transport wood out. last time it was him that damaged quad and enturned blammed his son for stealing quad without permission and rolling it? I believe he reported stolen first too, Id I remember correctly. Wild bill had quite time with it.
  14. Polar bear vortex not a regular polar vortex. Bear one comes with 4 feet of snow like a hurricane does with heavy rain and can’t see nothing for a good 36 to 48 hours.
  15. Another warm wing night coming up. Hopefully my leg is better by then.
  16. Next several weeks looks warm too. Going into December at plus 8. Hope that changes.
  17. Nice if we are lucky we will have two feet of snow by Xmas in south.
  18. Yeah prices are ridiculous. Went up about 20 dollars a sheet, since I did floor in two storey barn in spring. Takes a shady company to support under ground though.
  19. I use a broker too for everything except snowmobile at moment. Much easier if you Ever need to claim.
  20. I guess it depends who you get on phone and which office call goes too. Some go by crazy book and others are more lax and will co-operate and make it easy.
  21. Exactly what happened to me last year. Had to call and fax info in. Glad I wasn’t only one after PLC blasted me chicken crap again. Once they got all info they would cancel sled I sold. What a pita that was.
  22. Well said. I am excited about trails coming back too. Maybe with some help in future connection to north can be made, That will make an awesome loop, once again.
  23. Going to be a tough one since it is a dead end in and out for them and rest of that D trail. Accomdations will be tough to get in dub snd wawa too this winter.
  24. Looks good. Is this community just connecting to D trail that goes to white river or is there a re connection to north taking place too?
