  1. The funny thing is since his first failure he avoids reverse like this virus. But it got him again.
  2. Maybe the bushing is the closest one of your solutions. If it does flat spot and damage the shift fork pads that could be it. It's still a pain that he spent over $40000 since 2014 on two yamicats. And they can't make the right changes on a 2019 srx. Oils and what not are not a factor in this. This is poor engineering. I on the other hand only have to change engines. Lol
  3. Both of his lost reverse on one and drive on the other. Have not had the chance to look hard into one but neither of your solutions seem to resemble this problem. I had to try and move the srx out of my trailer and it seemed to be a shifting issue because of the noise. As it was warranty I did not look. The gears stripped on the spline if that makes any sense . Something about the shifting fork not moving them over enough.
  4. Holding up good so far. Put over 3000km on the used engine. Should be good to the 20k mark now. It's a bit of a Frankenstein sled considering the tunnel was replaced as well when the track blew off last March. Wish they had just wrote it off but they repaired it. All in all its still a great sled. I am going to keep it as the value on it now is garbage. I have a 2016 1200 as a back up anyway. Took that for my week run in Quebec. Matter of fact it was on the same trip this year my motor blew that the next day his chaincase let go. We always maintain stuff and let things warm up and such but crap still happens
  5. The chain case on them is a weak point. Poor engineering. Friends srx failed at 4000miles. Previous viper also let go as well. Does not trust his machine . Maybe if you baby it they will last. They look pretty on a tow rope though.
  6. Just came back from a great 6 day ride. Group of 8. Only minor issues with 2 sleds on last day. Had to assist police with a stuck sled call to 911 on day 3. Older couple stuck on trail. Drifting and blowing snow that day and missed turn. Stuck on trail at train crossing out of lac st John. Train parked . Had to figure way around. All good fun
  7. Biggest breakfast I ever had was the hungry man at Muskoka Fries. Abit of a wait but worth it.
  8. There's porn on the Internet?
  9. Did 375km starting out of Hillsburgh. Headed over to Arthur . Had to detour into Palmerston. Worse trails of the trip. Up thru Clifford to Walkerton. Signage is an issue out around there. Fields were the best. Had a few problems with group. Key issues with a 1200. Not detecting it. Multiple stops. Secondary clutch bolt shearing on Yamaha. Replaced on trail. Around Durham into Mt Forest and back. Got back to trailer at 10pm. Longer day than planned. Clubs did a good job with what they had.
  10. I like mellow yellow any day over racing green
  11. No it was bad up or down. Plus it had rained the night before that pic. I crossed the same spot the day before. The snow bridge just gave way as I crossed. Had to gas and go on the return. Brain fart I guess.
  12. Don't go slow. Jump. Pic from last weekend
  13. Did George Carling not say something to the effect of anyone slower than you are idiots. Anyone faster are maniacs. I do believe you can be charged with careless. As once a long time ago I caught a bit of air as I approached an intersection. The officer said that he was debating to charge me with said offense. Meanwhile they were standing in middle of said intesection just after a blind hill top. I said why? I think I landed it perfectly and to my right. No humor. But no charge.
  14. Hope things cool down a bit. That Friday rain and warm temps really made mashed potatoes on the trails around there. Good to get out regardless.
  15. Hoping myself things open up on the d103b. Would be nice if bigwind was a go again. I am heading up to my cabin off Fraserburg Rd at Pine Lake tommorrow. I think the Happywanders do a great job. One day I would like to join them in the prep work. All I can do is support them with my permits and the odd personal stop and clear obstacles on my own when out. Love the area trails.
  16. Thought this was a joke as a friend of mine did when I relayed this to him. Truth is stranger than fiction.
  17. Is it the OPP trying a new speed control tactic? That's Crazy
  18. Come sledding with me. My motor blows you have lots of time to scratch. Seriously now I feel sorry. That would drive me nuts. Hope you remedy it somehow.
  19. That's why I cherish Monday to Thursday riding. Less traffic. I stop almost at blind corners now on weekends.
  20. Can not say enough good things about Marc at Plazek auto wreckers out of Hamilton. Looking for a fast solution to my problem drove out there with sled in trailer still from Quebec. Dropped of Thursday picked up yesterday. The most clean and organized place I have seen. Has his own buds system. Able to do anything dealer can do. Gone are the days of swap and run. I could have done the swap but time spent running back to dealer to program ecm to injectors and set up all functions would be pointless. My bottom end crank was shot as well so whole engine was a good choice. If you need any parts for all brands of sleds he is a good choice. Up and running again.
  21. My 800 was traded in on a 1200. 6000miles without an issue. All brands of sleds lay eggs.
